Right, but I don't doubt he's got a list of catagories ironed out already. At least, I'd imagine this was the case.

There's obviously no thought involved in the GFF awards process. Styphon clearly picks words out of a hat to create the awards. Continuity between years has only been an illusion.

If he posts the list we'll have 5 or so threads immediately made with people going "ok guys  let's start nominations!"

Hey, don't worry, in my five years here I don't think I've ever even been nominated for any award whatsoever, so you won't be the only one forgotten.

Also, I have reported like 4 sigs in the past month. I hope you're not pinning me for your Mod Time being wasted on these sorts of things.
I like how you asked me what the status was. I would've told you that we'd been discussing it, but for lack of one "official" project leader, that it was stagnating in discussions. It wasn't a big secret; I don't know why others weren't completely up front on the issue.

I'm debating doing the award images this year. I was enrolled in a Photoshop class, and had hoped it would've taught me enough to do some good images, but an extended illness forced me to drop the class before my cumulative GPA suffered. So my Photoshop skills are still shaky. If worst comes to worst, though, I could MSPaint some stuff up. It'd be kinda like Infernal's graphics from last year, but in my cartooning style and humor instead (not that either would be bad).

I did this in MSPaint last year, and it's not too bad.

The redness in that X is a stunning contrast to the whiteness of the box, Crash. You're making a stunning metaphysical statement about the temporality of human consciousness and the quantum mechanical wonderment that is the human psyche. If only every artiste had the amazing masturbatory abilites as you to completely assuage any feelings of self-recrimination about the world's total lack of feeling for anyone with emotional distress and a hunger pang that will never end.

I am making no sense.

More than anything because the link isn't broken anymore.

I know I'm not on staff or anything, and I don't really know the protocol behind all this, but since Infernal did the artwork for the awards last year I'd like to try my hand at the award artwork this year if nobody minds. I mean, volunteering to do it and all that jazz. Looking at Infernal's art for 2005, it seems like it'd be really fun and I'd be glad to help out in any way I can.

I fully endorse this vote. Dubble has an amazing amount of talent, and would produce some of the nicest looking award pictures we've seen so far. Let the kid take a swing.

I really don't know how to say this crash. But I'll try anyway.

I like your art, I really do. It kicks ass and is quite funny. But I don't think it fits the whole attitude (for lack of a better word) of the awards. It's like pairing a George Carlin rant with an episode of Robot Chicken. While both awesome, they don't really compliment each other that well.

On the other hand, I think Dubble's style would lend itself to the whole process a lot better. But that's just my 2 cents.

I would like to give Dubble a shot, but for different reasons than Skills. I'd just like some new blood to come into the whole community and process.

As a new member myself, I'd like to see someone relatively new get a shot at contributing to things.

Also, fuk da man etc.
