So, I should just assume that they won't be posted anytime soon?

Approximately how long does it take for you to get that wooden windup toy of your dreams from that dusty old black and white catalogue?

Yes, Vivi. Apparently Crash is the only person capable of writing the text for the awards.

It's not the text; it's the images. We wanted something quality, but quality has its price. The price in this case happens to be time. Perhaps next time we'll plan far enough in advance that some of the awards images will be completed and awaiting the insertion of text, but then they won't be as personalized as I think we're going for.

I'm not completely in the loop on this one, but you get the idea.

So this is incorrect information then?

In part. The main holdup is the images, but whether or not the images can be started without text is beyond my knowledge. As far as I know Brent isn't involved in the awards system, so any information he has is secondhand as well. His sources (or whatever you want to call them =D) might be better than mine.

Yeah, I wondered about that, too. But no one corrected him when he posted that, so I assumed it was correct.

Is there any way in assuming that the awards would be ready by the end of the month? Personally, I would love to see the results in text form first, and then have the official images come later. At the very least have the text, then people can see how everything went. I feel the images is a bonus afterwards.

I think we could probably swing that if it comes to the end of the month and still nothing has happened. I'll do some pressuring if we get to that point.

Ok, cool. I am glad over half of the month is complete. But that doesn't mean I won't be going crazy over the next couple weeks. Thanks for letting us know.
It was spectacular.

You hear a lot more in chat (gasp!) than you do on the forums.

I'm mostly unsure whether you hear more in chat (gasp!) than in the TOP SECRET MODERATOR ORGY FORUM. Which is why I say that it's entirely possible, but that I'm not sure which of us is more correct.

Clarification Time:

The reason I had not started on images was because Infernal was supposed to be getting back to me with who won what so I could add the text. NO ONE GOT BACK TO ME YET SO I AM STILL IN LIMBO. Diss, Crash gave me the go ahead before he went to the hospital to proceed without him rather than wait when it came to the images and all that jazz. I approached Infernal shortly after talking with Crash...about a week and a half ago...about getting a list of names and categories so I can finally do this. I finish masters stuff this week (it was supposed to be yesterday but i hit a snag which is why I'm in overdrive now) so I'm gonna need those names by weeks end to finally start all this stuff. Drex is working on that now.

Basically I never got the names so I'm still waiting on those. The categories are down, so how can I draw the images without a list? I can't do images based on tallies I don't know so before someone says IMAGES ARE THE HOLD UP and points at me, technically that's not even the case yet (avoiding drama before it even comes my way :P). I don't know who won what to add said text to said images that I'll be cranking out. And THAT is where the miscommunication lies.

Drex and Infernal are working to resolve the situation and get me what I'd requested. Until they can do that for whatever reason the mods have of waiting, people will just have to be patient. They probably have a good reason so it's technically no ones "fault" per se. Just bad communication and a few missteps here and there. Once the kinks are ironed out, everything will be on track. And that solves that dillema, have a pleasant day.

Happy January 17! On this day we recognize the long and tough wait loyal members here at GFF go through after the Annual GFF Awards voting process. We also commemorate each and every member's patience that where lost during this great wait and give a moment of silence.

Join me as we recognize the loss we've all dealt with over the years.
