The Political Palace Award for Best Debator
Political Palace, home to the most stubborn and opinionated of our members. Where well constructed arguments fly back and forth amongst the cut and thrust of intelligent discourse. Until some cunt comes along and quotes half the bible and two thirds of the Bill of Rights of course...
Some people are it seems better at getting their point across than others. They know what they want to say and they say it, without feeling the need to quote huge tracts of other people's writing and without neccessarily trying to dress up a fairly crappy point in flowery language to make it sound better. The Political Palace Award for Best Debator should go to which ever member you consider to be the most skilled in the art of debate. Someone who is able to get their point across in the most effective fashion and does so consistantly. We are trying to celebrate debating skill here, rather than tenacity so please bear that in mind when nominating. Standard nomination rules apply as detailed in the rules thread.

Does Styphon count? Does banning count as debate?
a_lurker, definitely. |

As much as I hate to say it, I'll have to nominate Bradylama. I rarely agree with him and think that he treats the PP as the Libertarian News Daily, but his posts are at least well thought-out and for the most part intelligent.

Crash Landon. The dude knows his stuff, there's no question about it, and he gets his points across pretty clearly.
And, littered through all the insults he flings, which are almost always deserved, you can find Denicalis sporting his top-hat of intelligence. It's just a bit more decorated with flowery language than most. ![]() |
