The Animespot Award for Most Knowledgable In The Ways Of Anime

Cartoons eh? I was always a big fan of Bananaman and Thundercats was pretty good too. With any luck Mysterious Cities of Gold will get a complete DVD release soon and nothing before or since can come close to the awesomeness of Ulysses 31.

Anyhow, watching anime is a pretty popular passtime amongst GFF members. Some people however take it beyond a casual hobby and move into the realms of obsession, constantly searching for bigger eyes, shinier mechs, demons with more penises and even longer sequences of repeated frames. This quest has granted some of you an encyclopaedic knowledge of all things Jap and animated and this award is for you.

Who this year has displayed the best knowledge of anime and the greatest thirst to discover new and exciting oriental animation based joy?

Standard nomination rules apply, as detailed in the rules thread.

Alright, I'll throw someone out there...

I'm constantly impressed by zzeroparticle, especially in the Anime Screenshot thread.

Bartender, I'll have one more.
Will they!?

I'd honestly say Himitsu although she hasn't posted enough in the forum in general to let that be known.

My nomination really goes to chato for giving lots of underrated anime a chance, in addition to being able to speak for both the popular and not so popular anime.

There are only two people who need to be nominated here:

khalfan and sjcrik

Both can be considered as ONE SINGLE OBJECT OF ANIMEISM.

Just take a look at their Choco Pies!

And to every beast its prey...
That's not convincing since your nose is bleeding while you say that, you lesbo!

Giving the nods to both Bigblah and Qwarky here.

If there's ANY series, ANY character, ANY genre you're looking to get into or find more material for, there's a huge chance that one of these cats will be able to throw everything from the 80's to present day at you. Both have an impressive catalog of anime knowledge and are always the first people I go to when discovering new series'.

Since I have to add to this pool of candidates, I might as well throw out Acerbandit for his thread on getting to get people to watch more obscure series as well as DarknessTear who doesn't really post that much, but has shown quite apt at the Screenshot guessing game thread.
