GFF is a community of gaming and music enthusiasts. We have a team of dedicated moderators, constant member-organized activities, and plenty of custom features, including our unique journal system. If this is your first visit, be sure to check out the FAQ or our GFWiki. You will have to register before you can post. Membership is completely free (and gets rid of the pesky advertisement unit underneath this message).

The Board Support Award for Best Board Feature
Gamingforce is what it is because of our awesome community. This community spirit is helped hugely however by the huge range of features we have that most lesser message boards lack. Our admins, Blah in particular, work tirelessly to code new and exciting features for us on an almost weekly basis and we're rather spoiled by the level of functionality this place has these days.
So what for you has been the greatest feature of GFF this year? Standard nominations rules apply as detailed in the rules thread.

The pretty Donation Page. Now we're only one click away from seeing how well fed we're keeping Miles.

I nominate the change made to viewing the most recent journal entries on the journal home page: the last 100 can now be seen by accessing subsequent pages where before only the last 10 entries were displayed.

A nice order of Tombstone Pizza.
Because someone else is voting for it now. ![]() But I'll agree with the donation page. The dedicated members of this place is what's literally keeping it alive. |

I'm pretty sure that this one will have limited voter appeal, but everybody needs to trust me on this one.
I nominate the infraction system. Yes, only Mods and Admins can actually see its full glory, but believe me, it's nice. It's brought a reasonable sense of standardization to our moderation practices. It also keeps track of past penalties so that peoples' long term records can be examined. In the past, we've had to guess how many warnings someone had received. Now we know, and for what each was earned. The infraction system has also been instrumental in catching would-be adspammers before they have an opportunity to do anything. Props and disses are neato and whatnot. But the infraction system has brought proven benefit to GFF. |
