Member of the Year Award

There are nearly 26,500 members here as I write this, some 5,000 of us are active posters. We all have different ideas about what makes the ideal Gamingforce member and likewise we all have different ideas about who the best members are. This award is the ultimate accolade, presented to the one person who we all think is the absolute top of the tree, best in show, ideal member of these forums.

The member you nominate should be one without peer, whose every action is flawless and sublime, the person we all wish we could be like, the Launcelot at our round table, the Neo in our Matrix, the Wilkinson in our 2003 Rugby World Cup team. All these things and more beside, only a few people are even worthy of nomination for this award so choose carefullly.

Standard nominations rules apply as detailed in the rules thread.

I nominate Bradylama. He's been pretty much what I would call the near-perfect GFF poster. Plus he started the most hilarious thread in the Sewers since the original furry porn thread.

Nominating blue because she's put some effort into community events and she's a relatively new member, and she isn't an annoying bitch or anything.

Exalted or Shadowrun...

a_lurker. She's consistently hilarious. HI-LARIOUS. And smart as a whip, to boot. I think she consistently finds a way to be pure quality.

Infernal Monkey. He's nice, he's hilarious, the boards would suffer a great loss if he was gone. Plus he's Australian. Extra bonus.

Also, Sassafrass. I don't see anyone as consciously or actively involved as she is with the community as a whole (not counting those responsible for this place even BEING here as it is, of course.) Sass's presence is unmistakable and noticeable.

You know I'm just going to have to nominate RABicle here. He's just gone from strength to strength. From his deap seated hatred of the board's culture to his utter contempt for all the other posters, RABicle continues to be a source of animosity. For that, he is a shining beacon for truth, justice and hope in an otherwise filthydesolate message board of darkness.

Also going to nominate Lehah for pretty much the same reasons.

I nominate Saxypepper.

That's right. The man. The myth. The goddamned legend. If I have to explain this nomination to you, you're not even worthy to gaze upon his name.

Honestly? AcerBandit. He's an awesome guy, a cool moderator, and he knows how to have a good time.

Bartender, I'll have one more.

I'm gonna vote for PretzelCorps because he's my friend and everything....or not.

Anyhow, seriously though. It's actually pretty easy to pick a nomination for this one. Basically just pick the people who were nice to me. That narrows down the choices significantly =P.

I'm gonna nominate Lord Styphon because once again, his ruthless disciplinary measures keep idiots like me in line. If it wasn't for him, and the fear in he instills, this forum would have millions of RainMans running around.

I'm also nominated Miles because without him, would this site have a server? Chances are maybe, but he stepped up and for that he deserves the award.

I nominate Bigblah. I mean, all he did was help resurrect the forum and all, plus code some neato stuff before returning to charging Malaysia.

I nominate Puck for this award. He's been a member for years, originally posting using the name Test and he left for a while (To join the army or something I think) but has returned this year with a string of sparkling posts and an awesome journal. He's not generally involved in any of the drama here, he just consistantly bangs out decent posts and as I already mentioned, his journal is hilarious.

This is the kind of person you should all be aspiring to be more like.
