The My Stuff Award for Best Services to the Sharing Community (a.k.a. Best Pirate)

>>RULES & GUIDELINES. READ BEFORE NOMINATING!<<

Ahoy me hearties! Gamingforce Forums started life as a place to rip off video games soundtracks. Pretty much all of us who joined in the early days did so in order to plunder the wealth of soundtracks that were available for easy, illegal download. Since then, the on-site hosting has gone but the spirit of casual copyright infringement lives on, perpetuated by the ftp runners who ply their trade in the My Stuff foum. Without you guys, we'd have a fraction of the membership and would still get 30 threads a day looking for the FFVII soundtrack.

Of all the My Stuff refulars, who has contributed the most to the sharing community this year? Who is the Dread Pirate Roberts to everyone else's Pugwash?

Standard nominations rules apply as detailed in the rules thread.

You know, if I could nominate everybody that shares music here, I would, but alas I can't.

As for biggest pirate? I do contribute a lot but no way am I nominating myself, that's just selfish. Instead I'll nominate these guys:

bishop743
Joe Bloggs

I know bishop was nominated last year (and I think he won, if I'm not mistaken) but goddamn does he ever share. He's one of really only a few people here with a massive, insane amount of VGM and I don't know how he can take the time off to upload stuff for everyone on a weekly, almost daily basis.

As for Bloggs? Well we all know he has GFF's largest film score collection. I leech from him constantly and merely saying "thank you" just isn't enough. This award ought to go to him this year. It really should.

I'll put up the two that have been the most helpful to me, personally:

Basil isn't so much in the FTP side of things, but posts direct download links like mad, and usually has major releases and a treasure trove of expanded, complete, and unreleased stuff.

Kairyu's FTP is where I go when I need an FTP these days. His hosting of niki's massive doujin collection was a godsend for the Doujin Contest (at least for me) and there's a ton of other quality stuff there in multiple genres.

AkumuHau should be acknowledged for his heroic doujin piracy in this thread

I only know a few people here, according to my interests, but obviously Joe Bloggs is on the bleeding edge, so far as new film scores go. I'd also like to nominate the other obvious choice, Moon. He uploads movies, he shares/shared the entire Music Exposure Club, literally hundreds of albums, and he has also lent out webspace, which I've used to share a ton of FLAC. I'm sure ROTK CR alone (1 GB) drained alot of bandwidth this month. Thanks to both of you.

This picture of a My Little Pony represents my failure to review the Mix CD that was sent to me. Like this image, I am a shining beacon of shame and disgrace.

My candidate is definitely Kataah! No one, I think, has shared more game rips than him, and his rips are absolutely great! I still haven't downloaded all of his works! I'm also a bit surprised that nobody has mentioned his name. Well, I guess I'm the first! Thanks, Kataah!

Here's the exit, don't bother cleaning out your desk.

Counternominating Rimo (even this is the wrong sort of award for a ripper) for reasons that will be apparent if you have lurked my stuff adequately; he's done more rips than anyone else on the forum (200? My mind cannot comprehend such an astronomical number), he does them correctly, he doesn't throw temper tantrums (ahem), he's not retarded, he's an environmentalist, he even wears an eye patch and has a peg leg. I cannot think of anyone more worthy of the title of "Best Pirate".
