Just about everybody on this list have a good to unholy amount of knowledge of VGM. Thing about this award though, forget the way it's phrased, I would have thought that this would be to recognize a member that just doesn't have this stuff stored in his head but has seen to actively contribute and share it in the last year.

No disrespect to SS, but it's kinda shitty that a lot of worthy people are getting their ass handed to by a member who hasn't actively posted here in, like, what, 3, 4 years?

Course, now that I think about it, I didn't recall his organizing and work on GFA/vgmdb.net. So, shit, disregard, you know why.

I would instinctively say SS because I've personally used him as a font of knowledge into the arcane of the VGM world. Plus he's now helping run VGMdb, and doing a good job.

However, I voted for CHz as he's been actively running SotW each week and researching is his job. He has even come to me out of the blue with some useful information on multiple occasions.

If I had the chance to cast an additional vote, it would be for Rimo. In a community of fans with a prominently Japanese/Asian focus, Rimo is one of the rare breed who have a strong expertise with Western VGM. The fact that he traverses mostly "uncharted territories" is commendable.
