Clannad (Movie and series)

Oh, few songs can ever top Tori no Uta. But Nagisa's theme comes close (it's been adapted into the ending theme for the anime, but you can search for the original song on Youtube "Chiisana Tenohira")

@bigblah : Know any place where I can get a good quality mp3 of those two tracks? Clannad's pretty decent but I left Tomoyo After on for a good 45 mins til I switched back to Tori no Uta. They're both great tracks.

As for episode 1. At first I thought I was going to dislike Tomoya but I understood why he's like that at the end of the episode. The girls introduced here were interesting though. Especially the one who kicked those bikers' asses in 2 seconds ( love the chun-li kick!) in both the original and spectator view. Looks like I'll be watching this only in widescreen. Which also means I'd have to wait every 3 weeks for it =/. Worth the wait though!

EDIT : Almost forgot. Someone released one of their Fandub of the episode. Just the first 2 mins.

Love the widescreen version, it feels so less cramped now.

What is that Remix anyway? Was it a remix of a track from the game? I can't tell what track it is.

I don't see it in any of the 3 Clannad discs. I do see the name on the cover though. Just give it a close up ;p.

I wish I could stay I stopped caring after that awesome rooftop scene because they could have shot themselves in the foot and I still would have found it to be awesome. Luckily they didn't and the episode continued to be even more awesome. The part in which Tomoya goes Cyrano de Bergerac mode on Sunohara's behalf was just side-splitting. This episode definitely wins for being chock full of good comedy. Even the Sunohara/Tomoyo scenes are different enough each time to remain fresh. The momentum so far has been perfect and I'm looking to see more from it.

I do find it interesting how they're letting the cat out of the bag with regards to the ghost, and the net result is that it feels as though there's a bit of recycling going on from Kanon (2006). Either way they're moving into one of the characters' storyline now which is much faster than what happened with Kanon.

Daaaamn. All I have is the OST which is 3 disc (300mb) . Did you happen to download that big torrent file that's around 1 gig? O.o. There were no seeders that time but thanks a bunch, blah.

As for episode 4.

Yeah, that plot element doe seem like a rehash from Kanon. But it still differentiates from it enough that it can stand on its own. Since they are going to the After story arc, evident from the opening sequence, they probably wanna get through all the other girl arcs soon, and Fuko's probably the first to go.

Darn that Dango Daikazoku song is just addictive.

On that note, I've been reading through the wiki, is it possible that this anime will go through the After story arc?

From the opening sequence before the title "Clannad" appears, its an obvious answer, YES! Those more mysterious part of the opening theme song are related only to the After Story arc, and not before.

Episode 5 full screen is out, and they started notably using the remixes found in the other albums.

So it would be nice if people can upload the albums soon.

If you check the lyrics, it's about dango cakes. So it is cute, the song itself is indeed cute.

But unfortunately, you're right, the song is very sad; especially when the refrain part.

This show's getting better every second though I notice a few jokes and scenes that's similar to Kanon's but all is well anyway ;p. The funniest part in this episode has to be when Tomoyo told everyone kyou fujibayashi is a bi.

This made me wonder if the whole... "Get out of the way!" thing is a recurring referential joke of some sort from Key. Anyone remember if Air had it?

I mean it was so similar that it felt like a reference to me.
