at last, thanx spatula for the info, now im sure that im not wasting my money with my Macross DVDs from ADV

Plus I like the box art for the Animeigo set. I'm not sure what the prices are though, and I think that there's 3 boxes in total.

Yes but isnt the Animeigo version kind of hard to find now? Animeigo's license expired or something along the lines so they dont actually distribute/make it anymore.

True, I guess if you find a new box, TAKE IT!

i remember that i read that they lost the macross license, and all their macross products are now out of print, so eventually you wont find it anyomre (At least brand new and with the orginal retail price)
BTW i think that the animeigo macross DVDs were more expensive than the adv releases.

Yeah i believe they were, and they also came in sets of like 3 which didnt really make sense IMO. You can still get Vol 1-3 of the Animeigo set for around $50 from Amazon Marketplace sellers

hey dudes, here is something curious.
I was watching my Macross II DVD and in the last 40 minutes i noted something.
When Hibiki is reporting to the people the truth about the Marduk, there is a shot of people watching the report on the street, and one of those civilians is Blade/Slade from TEKNOMAN

Probably an Easteregg. I'm too lazy to do any anime cross referencing at the moment but will watch Mac II when I have time again. LOL.

I don't think i could ever spot that lol. At some point, when I finally finish going through all of Tekkaman Blade tv series, I will let you guys know if i spot any Macross characters.

BTW i didint notice how bad the source for the Macross II DVD was, when i captured the image i had to fix it because the image looked awful, macross release by ADV looks better, and its 10 years older!!!

it is certain that they already lost the license...
it is certain that edition (animeigo edition) of Macross TV is very dificult to obtain...

but...
Today .... that edition is now on sale on Robotech.com... in other presentation...

Harmony Gold ... that has the license of Macross in USA and is the company that it practically has to give to the approval for all product macross that it is sold in the USA.
after Animeigo finished selling its DVDs of Macross... Harmony Gold on sale sent in exclusive right in robotech.com this boxset...
(and as Harmony Gold remained with the Master of Animeigo...)



this edition is practically the same that the one of Animeigo...

Harmony Gold coat that boxset... after Animeigo finished selling its edition... and long before that ADV on sale sent to their edition of Macross TV...

the Boxset is sold in exclusive right in Robotech.com... and... I dont believe that it has left many copies available (to robotech.com)

on the other hand...
the price of the Boxset is without a doubt very good.

ADV is charging like 20-25 per volume its like 140-175(add ten more is you want the box)
