I got it. I actually found a link to Gendou (never used the place before) through a YouTube video.

Somehow with the conclusion of episode 8...

Spoiler:
I wasn't quite expecting that, but seeing as how this show is generally exhibiting a light tone of humor and such, I found this murder incident too... suspicious. I really did believe our friend Keiichi bit the dust during the whole time, and all the red herrings did point to the right direction, but still, in the world of Haruhi Suzumiya, something just didn't sit right that I couldn't put my finger on yet. I was guessing that Keiichi was injured sometime prior to 1 AM, but was suffering from internal bleeding and was unconcious for the time being until morning.

Perhaps the notebook didn't allow the knife to puncture fully therefore the injury wasn't instantly life threatening until much later. Also, I didn't accept that the door hitting Keiichi as a possible conclusion, since no matter how strong a door may be, the three of them: Kyon, Koizumi, and Arakawa would have either heard a corresponding thud or felt at least some resistence when the door hit Keiichi. But yes, a very good episode.

Episode 8
Spoiler:
Do you think Haruhi created that "shadowy creature" ? And maybe it will came to haunt them ?

I really hope the end of this anime doesn't feel rushed since this is a 14 episode.

14 episodes only? There better be a follow-up or "spiritual sequel." This will not do!

It was already noted here. But it's hilarious, despite me never playing a Phoenix Wright game. ;__;

Ah Episode 9 was a cop-out!
Spoiler:
They wasted at least two minutes with that scene of Yuki reading and the voices in the background. It must have been full of Japanese puns or something. Blossoming feelings between Haruhi and Kyon too.
I did like the the part where Haruhi strips Mikuru but Yuki's books covered and revealed just in time, each time.

Edit: Thanks Yuna, for the oversight

I don't plan to be the bad guy, but you could have used some spolier tags.
Fortunatly for me, I've already seen the episode.
Let's be fair, you wouldn't ruin anyone's episode with what you said, but there are people that are very touchy when knowing stuff before seeign the episode.
Needs more Aya.

My god.

Having only just played Phoenix Wright last month, upon seeing the Phoenix Wright cross-reference in Episode 8 I almost completely flipped out. That was hands down the best thing I've ever seen because of how well done it was. I've seen plenty of cross-references in Pani Poni Dash, but this one takes the cake.

Absolute gold.

I just saw the first episode, and while I know in advance that there is an actual series ahead... that first episode was just not the way to do things. I understand the INTENT of having thier movie be 95% of the first episode, but it comes off as confusing, and will draw away some potential viewers, as the acting was noticalby (perhaps on purpose by the animators) crappy and full of cliches.

Only the ED gave an indication of better things to come.

Keep with it Dark Nation. I thought the first episode was more less of a parody of various anime conventions and "mystical-magical-action" type anime. But you'll understand somewhat (hopefully) of their reasoning for doing such a bizzare home made movie.

It's up to episode 9 now. Also, try not to be confused with what Suzumiya says about the next episode. She says it in the order of the story, but Kyon says it in the order of the broadcast, I think. You'll understand when you see episode two and beyond.

I'm going to have to watch this series now after seeing this amusing picture.

This is also nothing to do with the fact that I'm currently playing Phoenix Wright at the moment.

Spoiler:
Thanks Para. :P

It wasn't really confusing but after that one episode, I gave up for one month thinking that it was going to be hot garbage. But its not all that bad.

If this is only 14 episodes.. then thats ok with me. Hopefully it doesn't have a screwed up ending like KimiNozo.

Well, technically episode 14 has already aired (chronologically, not airing order) and I doubt many people had a complaint with it. It was pretty cute, after all.

I think it's pretty impossible for them to 'screw up' the series, since it's split up into small arcs and all. And since the series is based off the novels, the presence of a completed source means they won't be pulling crap out of their butts anyway.

No, I knew the episode was a pastishe of cliches and typical
stuff that happens in anime shows, such as unexplained plot holes and
story progressions from magical girl batteling evil forces to harem anime.

My small complaint was that some viewers might not know that the first episode was not a movie and would avoid watching the rest of it as a result. I knew the whole anime was not about this movie, so I got through it fine.

I guess I have a knack for wording shit wrong, haha.
