Running FTP from behind a router

I'm using the neighbour's wireless. It's nice and fast, and I want to run an FTP server. How can I set up the I.P address so people can access it? Dynamic DNS doesn't work, cause the guy's router is stopping it. Any help would be hot .

Unless he really doesn't know what he's doing, your neighbor will notice eventually, and you will lose your internet access. Unless he's allowing you to use his wireless, in which case you should just ask him to configure the router for you.

Well, how would I do it if I don't care if he finds out? I've transferred hundreds of gigs since I came here in May, so I doubt he cares if another few gigs is added to that.

You probably won't be able to without access to the router because you will need to tell it which ports to forward.

On that note, I have gotten myself a router recently (So that my mom can use the internet anywhere in the house). How would one go about forwarding ports correctly?

This site should tell you everything you need to know:
http://www.portforward.com/

You'll most likely need your router's login and password information if you don't already (I went through the hassle of setting up an FTP also).
