mp3 Editing Program

I'm looking for a program to edit some mp3s that I have, specifically the Final Fantasy III -Legend of the Eternal Wind soundtrack. If you have listened to this specific album, you may recall an extremely annoying narrator that talks for the first part of the file. I'm looking for an mp3 editor to cut these narrations off, without losing quality. I'd like to do this without having to transcode from mp3 to wav to mp3, basically. Does anyone know of something like this? Or should I just look for a FLAC version to edit it losslessy?

Doesn't MP3 Direct Cut do this?

I've never used it myself, but I believe that's what I've heard of it before.

MP3 DirectCut is the way to go. Basic cutting and fading without re-encoding.
