Ripping DVD Credits

Right, so I've got the Equilibrium movie and I want to grab some music clips, particularly the credits, because I'm tired of the crappy recording sessions. So, all I know is that I needed to rip the DVD using DVD Decrypter (in File mode). Now what?

DVD2AVI (or its improved cousin DGIndex) to decode the audio from the chapter you want to WAV.

Using DGIndex, open the vob files (F3) and then goto Audio > Output Method > Decode to WAV. Then press F4 and choose a directory etc. Resulting audio will be pretty big so make sure you have enough space.

Then convert the WAVs!

Use DVD Decrypter to select the Chapter containing the credits. Then rip that VOB file out. Use AC3Tool to extract and analyze the VOB file to extract the AC3 track, then use AC3Tool to convert the AC3 track to WAV.

I find DVD2AVI impossibly hard to use now for some reason.... need to check out DGIndex sometime I guess.

DGIndex works exactly like DVD2AVI but fixes some bugs.

Think of it as an update but by different author.
