I do not see my number 2 nomination in that list.
Thanks for catching that. Seed 045 has been changed to OCRemix - Plastic Goddess. Thanks to your post, I caught two other, similar errors: Seed 078 is now No Album - Earthbound Fourside Hilton, and Seed 091 is now Kwed - Art and Music Compo 3.

I'm shooting for a mid-month start, though the tracks still have to be collected (some of them), tagged, and uploaded. I hope to have most of the heavy lifting done in the next few days, but we'll see.

028 - OCReMix - Crystalline Caverns
065 - Unchosen Paths - Stained Glass Filth
072 - OCReMix - It's Boss Time
078 - VGMix - Earthbound Fourside Hilton
087 - OCReMix - Perfect Cherry Blossom 'Icy Peaks'
129 - OCReMix - Stormlord 'Seneca's Marble Pack Edit'
131 - OCReMix - Super Mario Bros. 3 aquacadence
157 - OCReMix - ICO 'Icon'

In addition 129 and 150 are the same track. Liontamer offered an alternate track in case my nom made it in.

Seed 091 is now Kwed - Art and Music Compo 3.
According to Lionhead, this is not eligible:

Looks like a SID demo arrangement and not a game music arrangement. Should be DQed unless the music can be shown to be from a game. Gotta watch that when nominating any Commodore 64 arrangements.
Latest music rips (updated April 11, 2008):

Cold Winter Original Game Music Score - Really cool; dark, full, emotional strings mixed with drums, piano, choir. Kind of like Furious Angels?
Super Off-Road - SNES rock from the Follin bros.

Currently playing: Nothing

Play-Asia - Japanese CDs, game soundtracks, game imports, & more

What else do I listen to?

Excellent, keep those revisions coming. I missed Liontamer/head's original post, so Seed 091 is now Thesauce - Paperboy Gone Postal. No excuse on missing that doubled nom, other than eyestrain maybe, so Seed 129 is now OCRemix - Snowfall on Forbidden Lands.

I have a copy of #248 - King's Quest V - Forlorn Dream (one of my noms), but it's nearly 8MB. Let me know, orion, an email address to send it to.

Also, I'm here to help if you need album/artist confirmation for most of these noms, even outside OC ReMix, I know most of these, though I'm not the only one.

EDIT: Not "lionhead" :-P

By the way, it's either OverClocked ReMix or OC ReMix, if we have to be precise. We just tend to get so many sloppy permutations. :-D

So far I've seen oCrEmIx, Over Clocked Re Mix, overclockedremix, OCREMIX, ocremix.org. remix.overclocked.org, Overclocked REMIX, OCR, and more

I've written it as OCRemix, which is slightly easier/quicker to type, if that's all right.

I never noticed the capital M in OCReMix before. I always had it lowercase.

Also, my nominations are uploaded.
Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!

Seems you added that seventh nomination after I already had you in the system and your files downloaded. I'll need you to upload it to me, as well as your number 5 nomination (Sonic and Knuckles Walk on Water), which is also different from the set that I downloaded. Nevermind, they're on OCRemix--got 'em.

Seed 202 is now OCRemix - IndieRockDajil.

I wouldn't mind, except that since it's being listed so repeatedly, someone might think that's the right way. I won't lose sleep over it, but I'm used to doing it the correct way.

Mailed you my one unhosted nom, thanks for getting back to me! If you have a master list in text form, feel free to send it my way. I'm big on details, so if I saw any artists names or tracknames that were incorrect, I'd be glad to second-eye them and just make sure it's solid.

This contest could have tons of permutations by the way, just Commodore scene mixes (from games of course), just Japanese ones, just vocal mixes. I'd love to see any of those in the future.

I think we'd have a hard time getting even 64 vocal arrangements.

I may just do that, as soon as I've got the tracks themselves collected and with preliminary tags.

As of right now, I'm only missing one track, "International Karate" from Instant Remedy's self-titled debut album of C64 remixery. If anyone has a copy lying around, it'd be much appriciated.

It's definitely an underrepresented genre. Any one of those might make a nice mini-contest or themed brackets in a larger contest. Just as long as it's not this time

I did my best to represent kwed.org. I'm not affiliated, mind you, but I check it often. I've been waiting for an event to bring together a viable audience for some of them. I was honestly expecting more kwed nominations than I saw.

Did I steal all the good ones?

Nah, there are definitely enough for 64. The only tricky part would be establishing how much vocals has to be in a track to qualify.

Additional Spam:

There just aren't really any Commodore scene regulars that hang around here to help represent those arrangements. Commodore scene stuff also is the most ambiguous in terms of many SIDtunes being based off of non-VGM sources (not sure if that matters here much), as well as VGM arrangements vs. demo arrangements not being distinguished in any meaningful way at Kwed or Remix64.

That being said, yes, I'm surprised not to see more Commodore scene stuff. You've got Makke, Romeo Knight, L-Man, Markus Schneider, Reyn Ouwehand, Visa Röster, The SoundWavers, sumppi, Lagerfeldt, Press Play on Tape and tons of other great arrangers and composers doing stuff there.

I haven't checked moog's stuff lately. Has he done any actual game arrangements? All of his arrangements, at least when I first caught wind of him years ago, were of demo tracks.
