GFF is a hellhole full of elitists who chat about everything EXCEPT games. We have a team of dedicated moderators who will ban your ass on the slightest provocation, constant member-organized activities that you are not allowed to participate in, and plenty of custom features, including our unique journal system where you can post entries that will be completely ignored. If this is your first visit, be sure to check out the FAQ or our GFWiki. You will have to register before you can post. Although membership is completely free (and gets rid of the pesky advertisement unit underneath this message) we do not recommend that you sign up, because you will get kicked in the nuts repeatedly.

Very torn at this point. Pillar of Salt I admire greatly, but even I'm surprised it's lasted this long ... and it doesn't have the juice for me to blindly support it now. Armageddon Man is more simplistic in terms of execution, but creatively it's probably far richer in terms of its conception and transformation.
Besides, who wants an all-Square finale? |

Armageddon Man's elements are all so tight-knight and fantastically-executed, even if it is not quite as complex of an arrangement as Pillar of Salt. And plus, it just has an inescapably exquisite beauty. Pillar is powerful too, but in more of an epic sense than the personal, touching feel of Armageddon Man. Also, I'd love to see something from C64 get so high in the contest.
I have to admit, though, the decision was tough for me. These are both quite excellent tracks. ![]() A light on the water... all souls pass... |
