Best Song Contest 2008 Torrent

The torrent with all 256 songs is now available.

EDIT: Added the torrent file as an attachment. Heh, silly me.

I should be seeding for awhile. Let me know if there are any problems.
Attached Files
File Type: torrent BSC 08 Full 256 UPDATED.torrent (33.8 KB, 181 views)
Latest music rips (updated April 11, 2008):

Cold Winter Original Game Music Score - Really cool; dark, full, emotional strings mixed with drums, piano, choir. Kind of like Furious Angels?
Super Off-Road - SNES rock from the Follin bros.

Play-Asia - Japanese CDs, game soundtracks, game imports, & more

What else do I listen to?

You know, you could have just posted the torrent as a file attachment. :P

Seems that everybody's stuck at 15.3%, but whenever this completes, I'll seed for a good long while. I can upload about 150KB/sec.

Edit: Torrent removed from attachment.

K, so unfortunately there was a problem with the original torrent, as it was giving me an error message. I created a new one that should be fine. You can get it from the updated attachment above.

Aha! Let's see if I can make it through the torrent without having to do a system-restore again.

ilu BSC, but why do unrelated horrible hardware problems hit me at the same time ;_;

Is it supposed to be that only a couple of these songs are tagged? I don't like untagged files.

Are you still downloading the torrent? The tags won't come up unless the whole file has been downloaded, and as far as I can tell all the songs are tagged.

All of the songs are properly tagged. So yeah, what MrMonkeyMan said.

Well it said it was done, but then it gave an error that some files were missing, so uh, I guess I'll just download it again. Thanks!

Is anybody seeding this anymore? The other torrent I got from #gamemp3s worked just fine, so I'm not so sure if it's me or everybody else.

Edit: Banged it out in a day. Thank you three seeders.

I've been seeding for days!

That does remind me, though: is there anywhere I could find a working torrent for 2006 and (especially) 2007?

I could upload all the songs to my site I guess, but it will take a while. I've got 2005 if anyone is interested too.

I'd be interested in that too! I lost all of them in a harddrive crash.

It'd be really nice if somebody had the 2006 preliminaries.

Here's 2007 and the prelims. I suggest you use something like Firefox's Downthemall plugin.

www.mrmonkeyman.com/bsc2007/

Does anyone know how to make the directory browsable? I just threw some php code in there to make a list of all the files in the directory, but it looks like crap.

It'd be really nice if somebody had the 2006 preliminaries.
I've got the prelims for all 3 years I listed as well, so they'll all go up. I'll start uploading 2006 today.

I'd also like to figure out how to make directories browsable on a server, I've been having to make impromptu HTML files for people with Quicktime installed. It's kind of a pain.

Anyway, I'd prop you, but it seems you shouldn't use a prop to say thanks anymore, so I'll make a post instead. Thanks a lot dude!

Hmm, it's the original version of some song. It was used in Within a Deep Forest.

And hopefully too many people don't end up downloading these otherwise I won't be able to keep them up for too long.

And now 2006 + prelims is up. I'm not sure I have enough disk space at the moment to fit all of 2005, so I'll see how these two do for now.

Looking through all of these files, there is one missing that I've really been wanting to hear. I think it was called Ice Flow or something like that, and it had a very strong rhythmic piano that was really awesome. To tell you the truth, I'm not even quite sure what year it was from.

Does anyone have this song?

??

I put up the 2005 prelims, but I don't have room for the main tracks, so they're going to have to wait.
