[Crazy Idea] Birthday Subforum

The Community Commons needs a B'Day Thread subforum. Seriously.
It's hard to find anything in there between all of the "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ______ YOU OLDER NOW".

Would this be possible? I mean...we have a "Hey I'm new here" subforum, so uh, how about a "Hey it's that person's birthday" one too?

We had this discussion a while ago. I always thought it was pretty dumb.

What's there to find anyway?

I am against this because it simply would encourage people to make more birthday threads. Instead, we should have a limit of something like two birthday threads per day.

Shushkevich sued the Belarusian Ministry of Labor and Social Security:
due to inflation, his retirement pension as a former head of state was the equivalent of one dollar and 80 cents monthly.

Yeah, that'd be a dumb idea, too. It's not like we see five birthday threads a day, anyway. I don't really see the problem in keeping it as it is.

So how many "I'm new here" threads pop up every day?

Birthdays don't seem common enough (by common enough I mean people caring enough to make someone a thread) that they need their own forum. I thought the last argument was the Birthday threads add variety to CC and keep it active.

I've made my own birthday thread before?

But really, I say we'll eventually get the tag system in community commons and birthday will be one of the tags.

But wouldn't that ruin the surprise of a birthday thread?

I like all those vague titles that people get. <.<

At first I thought it was a decent idea, but I do recall also enjoying the weird shit (aka. inside jokes) people come up with for birthday titles. I guess it's also like not that much is going on in community commons anyways.
