Question Where is the delete box?

Just quick question, I wonder if someone could tell me why sometime delete button is not available after I press the edit button? a bug? It gave me no choice but to change my post -DELETED bcoz the absence of delete button.:doh:

Something about board history, etc.

And also when you're in a "debate" they don't want you going back and deleting everything you've said after you had your ass handed to you. Probably so they can have a (semi) permanent record of their badassery.
I guess it's healthy, I guess the air is clean…

It has the potential to distort the flow of threads, especially if a thread creator decides to delete the first post, for some reason. If you really need to have a post deleted, use the report button, and a moderator will take a look at it.
