I think it would be reasonable to conclude that they lurk around a lot, laugh at some things, and mostly leech off of the Concert Hall sharing threads and the My Stuff forums. But that is my opinion, based on my observations of the forum's traffic.

That number doesnt include 1-2 posting users (for purpose not being banned I guess). Perhaps the member here actually floating around 1000 after all.
EDIT: what does 'leech' mean? Free VGM Mp3 Download~

http://www.amonline.net.au/factSheets/leeches.htm Basically, it means they only take things from Gamingforce, or any other source, without giving back. |
|
Are they banned automatically, after certain period? (not posting, just looking around ftp sites, concert hall, etc)

And about your question. I think the urban dictionary has a pretty clear description of the internet term "leech" =p leech 1. Any of various chiefly moronic filesucking, bandwiidth hogging, and carnivorous 'users' of the class assholenea takeallus, of which one species (homo forumis) is generally found to suck in forums too. 2. One that preys on or clings to another; a parasite, fileleech. 3. One on who existance depends on the good deeds of others, but never themselves. 4. One who does not support the community. |

Err, I mean about the leech in the context of GFF you know >_>. I guess I didnt ask it correctly.

We'll probably purge the database of zero posters later this year to open up avaliable usernames. We usually delete accounts with 0 posts who haven't been logged into in over 6 months.

Some new generation of leeches might need Cloud32145 or Sephiroth70, after all. I'm sure people who put effort into having names that don't suck actually post, but there might be gems in the crap that is the zero posters' names.

The "Leech" title carries no restrictions to it, eriol, it goes away as soon as you make your first post. In a forum with post count turned on that is. ![]() |

Maybe we should just follow Diablo II Battle.net rules, meaning one post within 10 days or your account get deleted. Maybe not so much to free up names and space, but to teach the zero-posters we don't like you just coming here to take some VGM and leave.
When Smokers try to lasso him, he grabs their tongues and pulls them to HIM instead.
When Hunters jump on him he flips them over, pins them to the ground, and rips out their teeth one at a time. When Boomers vomit on him he wipes himself off, shoots peptobismol into their mouths, and performs liposuction on them before splattering their brains on the wall. When a Tank throws a chunk of concrete at him he rolls up his sleeves and puts on boxing gloves. When a Witch gives him lip he pulls his hand back and slaps that bitch right in the mouth. No zombie is safe from Chicago Ted. |

You guys scare them all off, that's why. :P
In all seriousness, a lot of the long-term members have known each other for a long time. I don't know if I'll ever feel comfortable commenting in journals. They really feel like a club of which I am not a member. That's only fair of course, and only the same as the structure of society. We are all naturally better disposed towards those whom we have known for some lenght of time.
