B004 - Like O Like H vs. Pokusaj
From the Valley Girl school of naming songs, like l like o like l! Tegan and Sara - Like O Like H (Download it!) Get the Flash Player to play this audio file: VersuS... For lack of knowing what this word is, I'll just compare it to Poposao and call it a day. Laka - Pokusaj (Download it!) Get the Flash Player to play this audio file: ![]() |

I'm not crazy about this Pokusaj thing, but I really can't stand Tegan & Sara. They just annoy me to no end. I don't think there is a song in this competition I wouldn't vote for over them.

"Like O Like H" is absolutely obnoxious. There are some interesting things going on in the background, but the singer totally kills it.
"Pokusaj" has a vocalist that I'm not that fond of either. However, the music behind it I really enjoy. The piano, acoustic guitar, and the futuristic soundscape provides something more entertaining. |
|
Wow, these both fucking suck. Abstaining due to awful suckness of these two tracks.

Pokusaj was extremely monotone. I'm also not a big fan of Tegan and Sara but it sure wasn't monotone.

This one's definitely coin-flipper.
In the first one, the singer just kills whatever might have been there. In the second, well, same deal. ![]() ![]() The exhausted Barrier Trio struck one final Barrier Pose! |

"Like O Like H" is fucking hideous, like a boil on a middle-aged stripper's ass.
"Pokusaj" isn't horrible, though I do concur with the feeling that it's too monotonous. It's still not thoroughly objectionable like the first track, so it gets to move on. |
|
'Like O Like H" is like some sort of pre-teen rock band attempt you'd expect to hear at a middle school dance. Why this gets published is beyond me.
"Pokusaj" is not much better, but it at least doesn't grate the ears as much as the other song did. Plus, it made me laugh when the voices began. |
|
Pokusaj wins by default. The chick in the beginning sounds a bit like a foreign Nico, so that's okay I guess. At one point it sounds like they want to break into the Zoobilee Zoo theme, which is pretty hilarious, but I don't if that should give it points or take them away. Either way they're getting my vote.

You're not allowed to talk about taste, Muzza.
We can die heroically, comically, ironically, sadly, suddenly, slowly, disgustingly, charmingly or from a great height.

The sound of the Tegan and Sara song really isn't that horrid, but those lyrics, christ. Dullenplain put it very aptly. Pokusaj, however, I've decided after a few listens, kicks some ass. Was a little cold on it at first, but, nah, it's on my good side for sure.

You, and I mean all of you, have to realize that "Pokusaj" was the Bosnia-Herzegowinian entry of this year's Eurovision Song Contest. This fact alone should be enough for this song to win this pairing!
It would be absolutely fascinating if an ESC song would win this contest, ladies and gentlemen. Spoiler:

Do you know more people vote for American Idol than vote in the National elections? Like, by a significant margin. How fucking depressing is that. At least you people sometimes let the Finns put on masks and jump around like idiots. |
