Crashman is so funny, I just had to nominate it, hence it´s also my favorite in this matchup. Legend of the Wind would be my close second, there are so many well done tracks on "Kleene". Set Me Up The Bomb Man is decent, but I prefer the fresher approach on Crashman. The Ore is not my thing. I tried some Touhou lately and discovered some really good stuff, but this arrangement is not very appealing.

Why is this poll closed when all the others are open? :-P I'm voting anyway, so just make sure to count me and anyone who posts afterward.
"Crashman" was too short, could have been further developed. "Legend of the Wind" takes it, but this wasn't a strong bracket IMO. Nothing terrible, just nothing overly strong. Even "Wind" was more a winner due to polish and compositional development more than being interesting and something I'd want to listen to again. I like the intro of "Set Me Up the Bomb Man", but the track is extremely dated. The slow tempo was interested. The mixing however was pretty imbalanced and the track sounded too distant most of the time. The mostly cut-and-paste second half of the arrangement was weak to me. Let's give it to "re no ma hou ~konya modokanto ippatsu ya cchaimasuka~". A bit stronger than the rest, and worth a repeat or two. Not three though. :-)

REOPENED  Additional Spam: Oh man, I was completely hoping ore no ma hou ~ konya modokanto ippatsu ya cchaimasuka (onmh~kmiya for short) would come along and save the bracket. Something interesting seemed to be going on. Never happened. As it is, only one of these could maybe be taken as round 2 material. Too bad it's mostly on novelty value.

Does a few interesting things, but there's something about the overall package that's putting me off. Might be the repetition, but it does manage some direction. Set Me Up the Bomb Man starts off decently, but then goes nowhere fast. Repetition is a big minus. Still, it's a decent track that I don't hate listening to. Legend of the Wind is another song that went directly for the Falcom sweet spot. I wish the melody were a bit stronger, but the song's not bad as is. I'm actually favoring Crashman here. Could be stronger and better developed, but it's definitely good enough in a weaker match. Amusement factor puts it over the edge.  |

Acapella Mega Man. Why not? It's kind of gigglesome, but once the novelty wore off I was a little annoyed. 177 - KLEENE Legend of Xanadu Arrange Album - Legend of the Wind Love the synthiness here. Dragged at times but entertaining overall. 212 - OC Remix - Set Me Up the Bomb Man A nice hard techno version of one of my favorite MM themes. I always feel like doing The Robot when it plays, but thanksfully I suppress the impulse. 244 - The Ore~Simple 1000~ - re no ma hou ~konya modokanto ippatsu ya cchaimasuka~ A much more laid-back bit of trance-style techno, but nice nonetheless. Good match. My bias is clear, but I think two of the reamining three are terrific in their own right.  From goop we came, to goop we return.

"I strike down ALL joke tracks WITHOUT IMPUNITY. Unfortunately I can only not vote for them and express my hate towards them." is what I'd normally put, but it's not entirely a joke track, with some actual substance. Beatboxing is cool too. KLEENE Legend of Xanadu Arrange Album - Legend of the Wind Sorry, but I really don't like synth when it is this prominent. The whole song is the kind of "standard fare" that I can't truly describe otherwise. There's something about songs like this that are merely passable for me. OC Remix - Set Me Up the Bomb Man I usually don't like chiptunes, but I like the hihat when it comes in and busies it up, as well as the bass beat. I think the piano sweeps are a touch, but just a touch, cheesy though. I really like it overall though. The Ore~Simple 1000~ - re no ma hou ~konya modokanto ippatsu ya cchaimasuka~ Neat, although I'd vote for it if it were faster all throughout with less empty sound. Spoiler:
