The weak Preludio track can't hang against any reasonable competition. "Mario Twins", easily.

Holy cow, Mario Twins. A blast from the past... I remember viewing some kind of youtube video that featured this song. Can't remember much of it now, but it had me lollin' for a while. The song's comedic value surprisingly doesn't take a nosedive when taken out of that context; it's just as crudely charming as I remembered. Fun stuff - not necessarily good, but I like a lot of the joke mixes I hear. Gotta give the vote to this one.
The Preludio track was decent - it's a predictable rockin' arrangement of an already rockin' theme. Since the Mystic Quest's battle music leaks win no matter what track you choose, it's hard to go wrong with an arrangement like this. I enjoyed it, but it doesn't stand out much alongside its opponent. |

Cheers for doing a Sasai arrangement; jeers for making it sound rather tinny most of the time. 218 - Stepping On the Crowtche owf Your American President - Mario Twins Joke songs tend to be love 'em or hate 'em. Put me in the latter category on this one. Battles 1 and 3 (but not 2, 2 sucks  ). From goop we came, to goop we return.

I don't think the Preludio arrangement is exactly weak, but middling. Enjoyable, but typical. I actually quite like the samples, they fit together nicely.
Mario Twins is actually more fun before the drums, bass, and scat (<--oh god, best pun) come in. |

I still HATE joke tracks mercilessly. I will vote for Preludio, but for some reason I'm not a fan of Preludio arranges in particular, even with rock bias ready to go. I actually like the original Battle 3 moreso than how it was presented here. Lesser of two evils though.
