I actually saved both tracks upon hearing them, but if I could cite any one track in this competition as being an absolute "stand out", "Elephant Gun" is that track.
I'd vote "Elephant Gun" for president of the United States, if I could.  |

Got to give Elephant Gun its props for growing on me immensely. Ain't voting against my only track to round 2 though. Both purely different beasts.

I liked Elephant Gun the first time 'round, and still enjoy it 2nd time around. The trumpets & accordions add a unique flavour to the song.
Nothing against Fields of Gold, which is a pretty nice rendition of the original. It's just ultimately too vanilla for me, and starts to drag after a while.
Music is a mysterious thing. Sometimes it makes people remember things they do not expect. Many thoughts, feelings, memories... things almost forgotten... Regardless of whether the listener desires to remember or not.
