This was a tough one, but my ears are telling me We Like to Party is bad enough to party on.

In before Shin explains to us how the Vengaboys are actually the best band ever in existence. Ever. Fucking ever.

Oh dear, horrid childhood memories have reemerged. I can't remember how many times I got stuck at a crappy disco when I was little with this party shit playing. Sure, I found it catchy when I first heard it because my musical tastes hadn't been refined. But ugh, it's pretty atrocious really. The horn at the start is cool, nothing else is.

Again, there's a track I actually don't mind. Conversely, I refused to listen to the Vengaboys as I've heard more than enough of them in my childhood. God help me if there's a Vengaboys vs Vengaboys round.

Sky-2-High I can still listen to. The Vengaboys song..... just the first part is enough. I'm glad I've never been to a party playing this song.

We Like To Party is super. Fuck everyone who doesn't like Vengaboys

You know, I can't really hate either of these, but We Like to Party has those Six Flags commercials with the dancing old man and that makes it awesome.

Neither one of these is very good, but it's at least possible to get into the rhythm of "We Like to Party". At first I was going to vote for it anyway for spawning those satanic Six Flags commercials, but it's just catchy enough to save itself.

That's entirely why it's bad enough to go on. That creepy old guy is enough on its own, but the obnoxious truck horn puts it over the top. Sky-2-High is bad, but not annoying bad.

I do have rather a soft spot for the Vengaboys as it goes. The height of their popularity was while I was at uni and most weekends we'd go out to a techno or trance night, cane off a shit load of pills then mong out at home smoking weed until the sun came up. We'd generally flick around the music channels on tv and they were generally paced around the kind of people who would be watching at any given time. Decent clubby music around 3 a.m., more chilled out stuff until about 6 then the more kiddie-centric stuff after that. As such, we ended up seeing quite a lot of videos from the Vengaboys and their peers, normally about 7 in the morning just starting to come down. The sight of two fit women with massive tits dancing away to some catchy Euro-house is actually just what you need at that time of the morning so I find it very hard to dislike the Vengaboys as a result.

Also, in terms of Euro-dance, there are far worse criminals than the Vengaboys out there. 2 In A Room, Las Ketchup, The Cheeky Girls, Cartoons all spring immediately to mind so sure, the Vengaboys might not have produced any truly great songs but to label them as the worst song ever is to display an incredible ignorance of really bad music.

Is it funny that Mo0 voted for We Like to Party as the worse song in this pairing, seeing as how he nominated it for SAUS 2007?

If you can't tell by that nominations list I was pretty much trying to be a douche and nominate songs that were either bad or that I knew no one participating would like.

And then we have Mush coming in and saying we were all awful people for hating the Vengaboys.
