"You know, I didn't really mind this song and then all of a sudden Kermit the Frog just shows up and starts singing. What the hell? Is that what the kids call emotional these days? Muppets crying over ex-girlfriends?"
-Ed the Sock on Tom's "singing" during Blink 182's I Miss You. |

I really, really like Spice up your Life. I didn't when I was a kid and it was a hit of course, that would be gay. But hearing it now, it's quite good. It's just a catchy pop tune.
I'm sort of amazed. At any rate, Blink 182 probably doesn't need the "support", but I'll give it to them anyway. |

"I Miss You":What a horrific intro. Will someone put that cow out of its misery? Oh god, it started talking. Why would we have Halloween on Christmas? Why would we do that? WHY?. Deni, you are completely right. Kermit's breakin' hearts up in this bitch. I almost kind of like the reed organ ("bagpipe") sound they have after the chorus ends, too bad they didn't run with that. Also, work on your diction and pro-nun-ci-a-tion. Pro tip, free of charge.
"Spice Up Your Life": I always really liked the first Spice Girls record but not much of their other stuff. Later I found out why: Spike "The Man, The Myth, The Legend" Stent produced their first record. Another example of a weak attempt to cash in on a Latin American sound that just comes off as phony and uninspired. I say this over and over again, but try not to sound like you're asleep when you're recording... Blink gets my vote. "Spice Up Your Life" is part of a whole failed style, but that Blink track is something special. ![]() |

I can't stand the second singer's voice in I Miss You. Spice Up Your Life isn't nearly as bad.
Latest music rips (updated April 11, 2008):
Cold Winter Original Game Music Score - Really cool; dark, full, emotional strings mixed with drums, piano, choir. Kind of like Furious Angels? Super Off-Road - SNES rock from the Follin bros. Currently playing: Nothing Play-Asia - Japanese CDs, game soundtracks, game imports, & more What else do I listen to? |
