Companions is really nice, considering how drab this sort of RPG music can be sometimes, but Running To Horizon is such a wonderful Mario Kart-esque groovefest that it cannot be denied.

How the hell did the Fire Emblem track even advance beyond the first round?
Was it up against a warped, vinyl recording of seven coked-up howler monkeys playing the cello with hacksaws? Because that's just about the only thing the Fire Emblem track could beat. It's crap. Running to Horizon isn't the best track in the contest, but it shines like diamonds covered in baby oil compared to the Fire Emblem piece. |

157 Enthusia Professional Racing — Running To Horizon (C)
162 Fire Emblem Rekka no Ken — Companions (E) The Enthusia Professional Racing OST seems to be very good, maybe I will download it someday. Running To Horizon is no exception. A nice groove, a cool melody, very good instrumentation, definitely a possible winner of this pairing. Companions seems to be the Somalia of this pairing. ![]() Shushkevich sued the Belarusian Ministry of Labor and Social Security: due to inflation, his retirement pension as a former head of state was the equivalent of one dollar and 80 cents monthly. |

Horizon is still a dreamy, boppy, bongo-ey little ditty I can do a little computer-chair dance to without reservation.
Companions, meanwhile...well, it's no Aqua Zone. DAMN good coffee!

Companions is generic RPG music that you hear dozens of times in almost every other RPG. And I'm not a fan of either Enthusia track in this contest, but it's the better track in this pairing.

Heh. I deleted BOTH of these. Says something for how shitty I think they both are.
Also says something for how neither gets a vote this round, but whichever wins probably gets an insta-vote against next round. |

If Running to Horizon played in all of the parts of Fire Emblem that "Companions" did, I would remember the Fire Emblem soundtrack much more fondly than I do now. It had good tracks on it, but Companions was...there. Sort of.
Not even a contest.

Enthusia Professional Racing — Running To Horizon
Pimp. Beach. Sunset. Hehe, isn't this what makes life worth living? A very good racing track that is, however. Fire Emblem Rekka no Ken — Companions That is another very common kind of track. Solid as it is, it's a bit plain, containing only stereotypical snippets of soaring melody. Running to Horizon should win this. |

Enthusia Professional Racing — Running To Horizon is utterly inane--the same sort of techno-funk found in all the Enthusia tracks, none of whic have piqued my interest. The orgasmic delight with which each new iteration of this basic sound is recieved never ceases to astound me.
Fire Emblem Rekka no Ken — Companions is, like most Fire Emblem music, relentlessly bland. It's as if every RPG music cliché were ground up and baked into a new track along with subpar synth and a lackluster performance. Bland v. Bland. Blech. Vote for Companions, the underdog. ![]() From goop we came, to goop we return.

I listened to Companions first, then Running to Horizon. I knew after the first 15 seconds of Running to Horizon that it was going to get my vote. And it's not even that great. But Companions was really blah. I don't think I voted for it in the first round either.

: 157 Enthusia Professional Racing — Running To Horizon (C) : 162 Fire Emblem Rekka no Ken — Companions (E)Easy vote for Running to Horizon. Companions was up against a rare SMS track I don't like last round, which was the only reason I voted for it then. Running to Horizon actually has some redeemable qualities that occasionally make me want to listen to it again. Plus I like groove. |
