Aard, you're evil...This is probably the hardest decision for me up until this point.
I'm going with Fire Wire. It's such a strange juxtoposition of elements that it actually makes Wandering Ghosts seem fairly normal. But really, either one is great.

What else can I add ? Fire Wire all the way. Gotta support my nominations to the end!

Crap.
Latest music rips (updated April 11, 2008):
Cold Winter Original Game Music Score - Really cool; dark, full, emotional strings mixed with drums, piano, choir. Kind of like Furious Angels? Super Off-Road - SNES rock from the Follin bros. Currently playing: Nothing Play-Asia - Japanese CDs, game soundtracks, game imports, & more What else do I listen to? |

6/10 Wandering Ghosts
The beginning of this song initially turns me off, but the jazz component is nicely played. A very good song I'd have to say. 4/10 Fire Wire A decent song, but it still doesn't ultimately have that same uniqueness element that makes me want to vote for Wandering Ghosts. I also don't find this song weird at all. |

Ghosts just got busted. It probably would've fallen earlier if it hadn't been up against two super-short KH2 pieces to this point. To be fair, though, Fire Wire's more than many competitors could handle. Poor Pumpkin...
DAMN good coffee!

206 Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night — Wandering Ghosts (G)
120 Soukaigi — Fire Wire (B) Wandering Ghosts has an interesting instrumentation and a rather funny melody. Fire Wire is much better, though. The piano solo from 1:41 on is very cool. The rest of the track is very good as well. The strings might be a bit annoying, but overall, it's still the better track. ![]() Shushkevich sued the Belarusian Ministry of Labor and Social Security: due to inflation, his retirement pension as a former head of state was the equivalent of one dollar and 80 cents monthly. |

Oh fucking christ. FUCKING CHRIST.
FUCKING CHRIST. Wandering Ghosts is wonderful but got totally owned by the very INTRO to Fire Wire. |
|
Soukaigi: a little rock, yes, but I didn't find it special.
Castlevania: oh, I remember, it was the song I called the restroom-track, this kind of track you always hear in a Mcdonalds restroom... (beginning from 0:29) Soukaigi wins out of necessity. |
Wandering Ghosts is one of my noms, but Fire Wire rocks, so I don't mind if it beats WG. It's worth stating again that Fire Wire has the best-sounding drum kit of all the songs in this contest.

Naturally, Enigmatic and Shadow are pitted in an absolute dog of a matchup one thing earlier, and now I must choose between these two sublime tracks. Lovely.
I'm choosing Fire Wire. I expect people do the same when Die On Destiny rolls around. |

Okay, I voted for Wandering Ghosts. Fire Wire is more annoying than interesting; I HATE that little violin ditty played at the beginning and repeated throughout. The bass line is the only thing really going for it.
