Oasis is awesome, you know there is this rhythm that makes you wanna change the world. It is a very motivating piece of music, very enthusiastic, very noteworthy. And hey, did I say how much I liked the beginning?

Yeah okay I don't like chiptune music, why the fuck lie.

I agree...Very easy vote. And that's considering Labyrinth knocked one of my nominations out.

Oasis so easily it hurts. I like Cave Story and I like chiptunes, but I never found anything special with Labyrinth Fight.

I think Oasis is okay, but I have to give it to Labyrinth Fight because Oasis is kinda unspectacular. It's never bad but it's never great either. Labyrinth Fight at least tries to be spectacular even if it falls short some of the time.

In the end it was a matter of what was more enjoyable to listen to...and Oasis won me over on that. I like it =)

Oasis is okay; I'm not sure I see why it's got such massive fan support this year when it didn't do so well before, but there are certainly worse songs. Labyrinth Fight is the sole remaining chiptune (I think); fond memories of the BCC and the song's involving melody make it an easy vote.

Oasis was the first Sim City 4 track I heard and it made me sit up and take notice. Then I found out there was much better, and ever since I've found it hard to stomach the entirety of Oasis. It's a bit boring. I gave it another go just now, and it's not bad, certainly better than the opposition (christ, what is this doing here?) but I'm not overjoyed to be voting for it or anything.

Labyrinth Fight is an entertaining little pseudo-chiptune that lost its novelty throughout the contest, at least for me. The catchy melody gets a tad repetitive after a few playthroughs. It shouldn´t count on my support next round.

Oasis is more sophisticated, but not as consistent. It has its strong parts, but I´m not entirely convinced. All in all Labyrinth Fight is still the more memorable tune.

Labyrinth Fight 7.5/10
Oasis 6.5/10

"Labyrinth Fight" is decent, but when I use that word to describe a track in the finals, it means the track is severely lacking. And indeed it is. It's decent, but it doesn't deserve to move on here.

"Oasis" is, like I've implied before, a musical masterpiece. It does not deserve to die here. I'm really passionate about this one's progression.

"Labyrinth Fight" - 7/10
"Oasis" - 10/10

Every year, a Sim City track gets pretty far but then gets knocked out by an inferior track.

Oh well.

I already know which SC track I'm going to nominate next year. Can never have too much SC love.
Latest music rips (updated April 11, 2008):

Cold Winter Original Game Music Score - Really cool; dark, full, emotional strings mixed with drums, piano, choir. Kind of like Furious Angels?
Super Off-Road - SNES rock from the Follin bros.

Currently playing: Nothing

Play-Asia - Japanese CDs, game soundtracks, game imports, & more

What else do I listen to?
