I think here is where that annoying intro for Gianna is going to really do it in. It would be much closer personally if I didnt have to wait 20 seconds for the track to start. I still love the track, but Armageddon Man's "do do doooo"s are completely captivating.

Dunno what´s up with Armageddon Man, I still find it´s rather boring but I guess that´s also considered a sign of quality here. Going with Gianna for sure.

Pure contrast in styles of here for two very good tracks. Shock, I'm going with piano and sublime female voice.

Not that they aren't both awesome tracks, but Gianna Sisters keeps my interest more. I also found it amusing that you can hear Armageddon Man in the intro.

I'd say flag it off in the discussion thread for the best chance at that mistake being seen. Must have been a Freudian slip though. You should keep your vote the way it is! :-P

Nice, C64 vs C64.

Machinae Supremacy's arrangement is a great, energetic piece. Being the first of the pair I just listened to, I began to think -- almost to my chagrin -- that I'd have to pick Great Gianna Sisters. But then Armageddon Man comes on, and oh, how could I forget just how beautiful it is? Suddenly I remember why this song is one of my top VGM favorites.

Talking about that first clip? None of the sampled tracks from the intro of the Machinae Supremacy track are the Armageddon Man tune, but that one sounds kind of close. You can stream the actual source tune here ("Listen Online" link to start the player applet).

The Great Gianna Sisters is probably my second-favorite mix of any C64 tune ever. Wire-to-wire awesome rockage. This is why it pains me greatly that Armageddon Man is my favorite mix of any C64 tune ever. I like to think that I like it because of the downright beautiful vocals and composition that stays interesting throughout despite being simple, but I know, deep down in my heart, I only voted for it because it bored the hell out of me. This is my true evaluator of quality.

Actually it's the second clip. Coincides with 1:06 in Armageddon Man.

That clip is from Commando, as a matter of fact. It was in last year's BCC.

R-Type, Commando, Supremacy, Bomb Jack and Bubble Bobble, in that order.

I think this officially proves that all C64 music is the same song.
