scourge was way more ambitious but suffered from production issues and a lot of weak transitions; cornered was a bit too fakey soundwise but I love the source a whole ton.
not totally fair on my part, because I think if the production was better on scourge it'd be no contest, but as is, i'm voting for Phoenix Wright. |

I think "Cornered" has the advantage of an incredibly strong source, and thus can get a lot of mileage out of just updating the sounds. There are a few new additions (very cool ones at that), but for the most part it has the same style and instrumentation, and in the end I don't think it did as much in terms of actual arrangement as "Scourge."
That really is one sick bass solo though. It pains me to leave it behind. go ahead, ignore me
