I was fully prepared to vote for Level 3, but Emotion 2 was a really awesome surprise. Props to the nominator!

Colour me disappointed with "Level 3". It's got no drive, and doesn't sport a great melody either. As it stands, it's merely passable.

"Emotion 2" is a great nomination from a great soundtrack, props to the nominator. This piece is truly bewitching and captivating...the alluring contrast in mood and sound especially piques my interest. Wonderful echo-guitar melody, too.

"Level 3" - 5/10
"Emotion 2" - 9/10

Edit: Very disappointed with the current results.

Cheers.

Level 3
This must be for the Genesis or SNES version of the game; it doesn't sound anything like the chippy bleeps I remember from my NES copy. When the music is getting its rock on, it's unstoppable. Unfortunately, there's a lot of time when said rock is not on.

Emotion 2
The music is a little slow in getting started but it's awesome once it does--excellent piano, guitar, and pretty much everything else. I may have to check out the rest of this moon rune music.

Straight to the moon.

Cheers.

"fuck year" indeed. Battletoads be ROCKIN' all up in this mofo.

What's this "Emo" shit doing in here? Learn to change up the drums more, Tsutomu.

Ciao.

Fuck yeah, Battletoads!...

...oh wait, Emotion 2 is considerably better.

Cheers.
That's right. There isn't a signature here.

Only correct post in this thread.

Thankfully the silent brigade has a brain, so the results check out.

This Battletoads tune isn't quite as awesome as OTHER battletoads tunes (THERE'S AN ENTIRE SERIES OUT THERE), although there are quite cool sections.

Emotion's not bad, but I'm also not hearing the whole "WOW THIS IS FUCKING AMAZING." Especially not compared to the other Moon nomination that I've heard so far.

Tough match, since both are decent, but with one remaining merely decent for the length, while the other dips and crests into (and away from) awesomeness.

Cheers.
