Bah, zircon, kill u! You've gotta be good to beat my djpretzel nom, as awesome as I feel it is for what it's done to the source material. Yeah, "Monstrous Turtles!" is a track that's a lot of my friends not into VGM have loved. I can't remember if I'm the one who named this directly, but I know I gave Andy the general idea for the title (i.e. looking in the game manual for ideas) and encouraging him to retain the exclamation point for added POWER.

Monstrous Turtles! made one of the strongest impressions on me out of all the tracks in the contest and I knew that going in. Listening to the pair, however, I am reminded that Trip the Light Fantastic is wonderful. Wonderful is near impossible to top.

209 Trip the Light Fantastic
While certainly okay, I wasn't really impressed with this tune. It has some nice synthy bits but doesn't really stand out. 015 - OCRemix - Monstrous Turtles! Very dark, very momorable; this tune made a good impression and has built on it. Turtles.  2008 NaNoWriMo Word Count: 33004/50000 |
