Latest music rips (updated April 11, 2008):

Cold Winter Original Game Music Score - Really cool; dark, full, emotional strings mixed with drums, piano, choir. Kind of like Furious Angels?
Super Off-Road - SNES rock from the Follin bros.

Currently playing: Nothing

Play-Asia - Japanese CDs, game soundtracks, game imports, & more

What else do I listen to?

Bootup isn't bad, but MAN IT'S UP AGAINST NAPPLE TALE KANNO.
I got more moves than a U-Haul.

Caps for needed emphasis. Wild Wind is lush and charming and Bootup's 80s racer vibe doesn't stand a chance.

This is a damn awesome matchup. I love Bootup and its blatant cheesiness, but it's so hard to vote against Wild Wind.

Lotus Turbo Challenge 2 - Bootup (Intro)
If you look up "racing music" in the Wikipedia, chances are there's an open-source MIDI OGG of this song. It gets the job done, but it's also just sort of there.

Napple Tale: Arsia in Daydream - Wild Wind
Excellent all around. Top-drawer Kanno is a potent force, and this track is intoxicatingly good.

"Bootup (Intro)" has a good amount of groove and cheese going on, and the wind-up at 1:33 for some reason made me smirk. Not the greatest piece of music in the world, but it's fairly entertaining.

"Wild Wind" is gorgeous, perfect, melodious etc etc. If I go on to comment on this track further, I'll sound like a kannofag, which I'm not, so I'll leave it there. Wonderful piece of music, this one.

"Bootup (Intro)" - 7.5/10
"Wild Wind" - 9.5/10
