When a musician believes that music is a commodity, music dies in them.
And to every beast its prey...

Always together: The 'jump' synth is rofl, but great rhythm guitar tone, lead surprised me a bit on how raw it sounded, but it actually worked to it's advantage. I've never heard the source before, but I go completely nuts for this sunny, upbeat rock, and this is really well done.

Red Wings over Baron: I love FF4's music with a burning passion and this is very well played with a lot of my favorite tracks in there. Arrangement is pretty good, with some additional sections, and some great rhythmic alteration. Transitions run the range from ok, to pretty abrupt, though the one at the end is intentionally abrupt and works very well because of it.

Tough vote for me, though I gotta go with Always together, as the Red Wings over Baron seemed a little stitched together with the transitions. But pick up Powerglove's cd because it kicks ass.

I picked "Always Together, Surely Together" for two reasons:

1: It's my nomination.

2: There's enough Final Fantasy leg-humping in this world already.
I got more moves than a U-Haul.

I voted for this FF4 love-in, but even I'll feel a little sick if Always Together gets knocked off.

I still can't think of the song this reminds me of. The 80's vibe inspired equal parts love and revulsion.

The rock opera-ish stuff at the beginning had me expecting great things, but the track couldn't deliver. Abrupt transitions, as others have mentioned, and the song becomes more usual the longer it plays.

Tough call. George says to go with RWOB, though, and who am I to disagree?
