For someone who usually favors somber pieces, I found this pairing unusually difficult. S.S.H.'s track just packs SUCH energy. Those driving drums and guitars, even synth as they are, are impressively all over the place.
But in the end, Beneath the Surface, with its variety of actual instruments electric & acoustic, creates such an enveloping wave-like soundscape that I really can't escape to bother giving Decisive Battle another listen. The Aquatic Ambiance arrange it is!  A light on the water... all souls pass... |
