Bloody hell, this contest is no-holds barred now.
Icy peaks is both beautiful and fantastic, but Pillar of salt crushes it. I think the latter track is going all the way to the final 2.

I waited this one out for a while, because I simply didn't want to vote against the chamber strings mastery that is Icy Peaks. It is a charming melody rendered with a flawless performance and fantastic expression.

However, I have to reward Pillar of Salt's experimentalism and pure epic scope. While Icy Peaks sets out to be a short beautiful traditional chamber arrangement, which it accomplishes exceptionally, Pillar of Salt sets out to be much more. While the execution isn't quite as flawless, Pillar is still an incredibly epic journey through

I'm down with the consensus here. Icy Peaks is a lovely little genre piece, but Pillar of Salt has creativity and flare to spare.
