This one is hard for me. Personally, I care much for both of these tracks. Dissociative Identity is an ending track with some beautiful piano keys. Proud Soldier (Gage's Theme) is one of the best tracks on one of the most unappreciated soundtracks to come out in the past year.
In the end, I have to go with Proud Soldier. I want to support this soundtrack up to the day we get a full sound version released on CD. Also, I just like it more, and feel it's the better track.

Killer7 - Dissociative Identity
If the mix had been tinkered with to take that dance beat from foreground to background, this might have merited higher marks. Still, it's pretty good. Advance Wars: Days of Ruin - Proud Soldier (Gage's Theme) Count me among the people who'd like to hear a full sound version of this one; the synth does the music absolutely no favors, and manages to sound far worse than the Advance Wars tracks from last generation's hardware. This particular song nowhere near as good as the other DoR entrant, though, and I'm not sure how much cleaned-up sound would actually help it. killer7.  2008 NaNoWriMo Word Count: 33004/50000 |

"Fluid" and "crisp" I think are the words I used to describe "Dissociative Identity" last round. It still applies, methinks. Nice and smooth with some inconspicuous jazz undertones.
The only thing I don't like about "Proud Soldier (Gage's Theme)" is the sound quality, but other than that it's a blast. Soaring, nicely Celtic and housing some pretty cool choral (?) elements; this quick became a personal favourite of mine ever since I played the game. <3 "Dissociative Identity" - 8/10 "Proud Solider (Gage's Theme)" - 8.5-9/10 I don't think it's "earned" a 9 yet  |

Dissociative Identity isn't bad, but it's nothing specal either. Proud Soldier's Celtic rock feel is more enjoyable.
I really wish we had better quality versions of Proud Soldier and the other AW DS song in this contest.

Disassociative Identity is a really cool track, and it definitely has the production edge over its opponent. However I just can't deny Proud Soldier the vote here, it's a really fantastically composed, rousing track.
