Latest music rips (updated April 11, 2008):
Cold Winter Original Game Music Score - Really cool; dark, full, emotional strings mixed with drums, piano, choir. Kind of like Furious Angels? Super Off-Road - SNES rock from the Follin bros. Play-Asia - Japanese CDs, game soundtracks, game imports, & more What else do I listen to? |

"Floater Land" rivals the great gracemeria in terms of epicness and scope and even betters it in places; that's certainly no mean feat. It's got the aquatic feeling down pat, and adds a delicious feeling of sinisterness and danger through the clever and well-executed instrumental choices. A great piece.
"Wind Garden" is one of my favourites remaining, and probably my tip for the gold. Pitch-perfect; dynamics-perfect; instrumentally-perfect; melodically-perfect. It's not the perfect package overall, but damn does it come close. "Floater Land" - 8.5/10 "Wind Garden" - 9.5/10 Ciao. |

This is less life-or-death for one simple reason: one of these Mario Galaxy tracks is going to advance, and I will be very happy about that.
Now which one? Floater Land bends more toward space opera with subtle electronic influences. Wind Garden has more of that outdoorsy orchestral feel (a complete contrast to wretched weather outside right now). Maybe it's my mood, but in a slight upset I'm feeling Floater Land more right now. Ciao. |
