GFF is a hellhole full of elitists who chat about everything EXCEPT games. We have a team of dedicated moderators who will ban your ass on the slightest provocation, constant member-organized activities that you are not allowed to participate in, and plenty of custom features, including our unique journal system where you can post entries that will be completely ignored. If this is your first visit, be sure to check out the FAQ or our GFWiki. You will have to register before you can post. Although membership is completely free (and gets rid of the pesky advertisement unit underneath this message) we do not recommend that you sign up, because you will get kicked in the nuts repeatedly.

Ah, unlike SC3K y'know, you can place fire stations AFTER a fire starts to bring in the firemen. Remember that in the future :3
Ah, a question! My medical guys went on strike due to low funding, but after building a large facility AND raising the funding to 100%, I still keep getting messages that they're still on strike. Apparently this isn't like SC3K. How do I end the bloody strike?

![]() I've been terraforming a little.
"Being a negative twat" Not at all "supporting a counter point in the political palace." Cheers for banning me so I couldn't double check Frank's phone number, we had a great time not catching up in North America. Life has been off the hook, thanks for asking!

Pretty cool for your first year, but you could save some money by using streets for EVERYTHING. For neighbour connections, I just had a tile of road connected to the street. You don't need roads in the beginning since there's not much people and traffic at this stage to warrant using them.
Another question >_> I've been using Medium industry for my cities. Is it more benefical to put in High industry at the start? I wonder if that's the reason, because the demand for Industry never goes down even after I plop down lots of medium industry, and even so, lots of the squares don't get filled up despite the demand. Also, I love your map, Rab. |

Well my agricultural monster is doing quite well as I near the 10 year point.
One problem: ![]() Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh EDIT: I'll post more screenies later, but yeah I have a huge lot and yeah its almost halfway full. All low-density stuff. Farmer's Market built right away and the demand for agriculture just shooting through the roof. Gotta meet my neighbors sometime soon to look over connection plans! Three power plants? :\
My city is like 3x the size and I've got the same number of WIND-powered generators. Links (Updated 6/21) ...start puttin' 'em in a bowl... ![]() |
And Lukage, ignore the no car access things. They'll go away. The game is jsut dumb.

Another option is to fund things like the "CPR training" and other medical-related services so that less people are going to the hospital.

Man, I'm already at year 2010 with my city, along with some other people.
Crash and I were talking about this, and one idea that was brought up was maybe reducing the amount of time between updates? The only problem I can see is people not having the time to play during the week. Also, again for the record, I'm taking lot 17, for lolarious connections ![]() HURF DURF |

Wow damn, I can tell I need to learn a few new things from SC3K, where agricultural wasn't required at all unless you wanted it. Thanks for the help about the strike and the industry stuff, you SC4 gurus.
As far as I know, only Taco, Crash, Merv and I have finished our quotas for this week. That's only a few of us compared to the total number of people participating. I'd keep the quota as is. I don't think doubling the year is going to help the others much, especially if they're going to be working on more than one lot. Ten years is a long time unless you go to Cheetah speed. Well, I keep the taxes on argiculture and industrial above 9%, and make the taxes on the richer citizens higher. I keep the tax on the low residential zones small and then raise it over time as the population increases.
But now I'm actually starting to lose some population because there's not enough jobs. :/
