Deni HAS been here three years. Apparently this was official as of July 7th, but I just found out, so in recognition of this grievous damage to GFF's soft, squishy core, respond in this thread and I'll share either a memory or a warm, fuzzy feeling about you. Or maybe a caustic commentary if I don't like you. It's like a surprise!

Seriously, though, 3 years later and I'm still convinced this is the greatest community on these-here-internets.

Damn, it certainly feels like you've been here longer! That might be because of your prominence in chat, or your on cue wit on the boards! What's your favorite memory since joining GFF?

Some loud-mouth wanker with a sense of self-entitlement and an issue with thought-before-speech.

Anyway, on to the game at hand:

Capo - I always forget you're like, 12. Completely floors me that you're that much younger than I am. You know, because you're 12. My impression was always that you're a fairly smart cat, even if you do choose to hang around with Pom. You're also part of the hockey clique, which is fantastic. There should be more of us. Enjoy the 8 or so years of endless gloating you're going to have with your Pens. I'm hopping on that bandwagon hard and claiming my love of black and gold makes it a natural transition.

Damn, it certainly feels like you've been here longer! That might be because of your prominence in chat, or your on cue wit on the boards! What's your favorite memory since joining GFF?
Ah, young Plarom. I'd claim you as my Moor, but we both know Radez beat me to it. So I claim Dubble as my Moor. At any rate, you're one of my favourites. Just an utterly decent guy with no real pretensions or hang-ups that I've ever noticed. You are precisely the kind of bloke I'd get hammered with on a regular basis; pure quality.

And what's my favourite memory since being here? There's the obvious ones: a few friendships that have become pretty enduring, i.e. nadienne, Dubble, Jessykins, Skills, Lurker, a lot of people in the chat crew (I'm sure you'll all get individual shout-outs here, so I don't feel bad for glossing over you a little), but for absolute fondest memory, I think I have to go with the incredibly touching reaction I got to this journal entry: http://www.gamingforce.org/forums/jo...7&entryid=9515 about the passing of a close friend of mine. People were exceptionally decent, and it meant a lot at the time. Made it all a little easier to deal with.

On the flip side, I've relished some of the little conflicts, too. IcyBlackFlame and her poetry sticks out as a particularly joyous bit of stabby stab stabbing at someone, as it lead to the Deni Grades Your Poetry thread, which brought me no end of joy; and no end of examples for my creative writing class.

I definitely agree with Plarom. I honestly thought you've been here way longer than I have, but I actually beat you by a few months.

But anyway, congrats on the three years! You're definitely one of the members I respect around here the most, especially in regards to your opinions about RPGs. Keep hanging around here, because the community needs someone like you around.

Although it is great your still around as your by far one of the more interesting cats at GFF.

We need to all chill on voice chat more now that you've moved out from the cave behind that waterfall which you used to call home.

I will never live down the Towel Pharaoh. It will outlast me in terms of recognition. You just watch.

And Coe, to me, you will always be the cat I think is Qwarky upon first seeing his avatar. But then I'm not disappointed, because not-Qwarky is always better than Qwarky. (Take that, Q-Chan)

Yeah, I've noticed our opinions on RPGs tend to coincide quite often. Though I'm sure there are a few mods and many a member who would disagree with you about the need for me.

That's suprising. I thought like others that you've been around far longer.

People always think I'm an 8 year member, but back when GFA first started, I leeched constantly, but I don't think I made a single post. I think it comes from being initiated incredibly swiftly, due to an almost instantaneous friendship with some higher-recognition members because of the content of my opening post.

I still think there should be an Iwata vs Rat music snobbery off. I'd take bets and it would happen in a cage.

I didn't know you'd been around for 3 years. Surprise surprise. Your MSN names are always entertaining. =o

Here's the 3 more years.
Some people draw, some people create random, strange names on internet chat programs.

We all have our gift.

I've been here two years, should I make a thread or keep it to my journal?

Congrats on three years, though~
Well thank you kindly, 240 km buddy. Also, I have to say, Samurai Pizza Cats are the greatest thing ever. I will never understand people's love of crappy anime, when we had the greatest invention ever.

And what do I think of Saskatoon? Well, it's fairly pretty, for Saskatchewan, and two of my favourite people live there, soon to be three. And it has Game Traders, which has supplied me with Uncharted Waters: New Horizons, Illusion of Gaia and a ton of SNES games... so it's ok in my books. Plus, Fuddruckers = win.

Shit, it'll be three years for me too in November, though I pretty much just lurked for half a year before posting anything.

And glad to have you around, Deni. Always nice to have someone who actually knows shit about film to talk to.

You reply too fast D:

I've never actually watched SPC, though I guess I should start looking into it. Ironically enough, I just found Illusion of Gaia at a Value Village in Red Deer for six bucks (who wouldn't pass up that deal?) And the Fuddruckers in Saskatoon is also the only one in Canada - most of the rest are in the States.

Oh, I'm well aware it's the last Canadian franchise. That's why moving out to Quebec gives me such pause.

And seriously? Wow, that's an amazing deal. Who knew there was anything in Red Deer worth buying?

It's always just crazy packed in there. And I've never indulged in that minigolf place. Any good?
