With all the recent birthday threads, the idea came to mind that we could do some kind of weekly birthday shoutout. Just name everyone whose birthday is coming up in the following week. It won't exactly be a time filler, but it may help enforce more of the community aspect of the show.

Birthday shoutouts are a good idea, but I'm not going to announce every Joe Leecher who signed up to GFF. This week, there are 31 birthdays listed; you'd need the Micro Machines guy to read all those without putting listeners to sleep.

That's true. The website itself even filters out the names of these people, but unfortunately it's only on the day of (like for today example, there are six birthdays, but there are only five listed at the bottom the page). I guess someone would have to do research on these people to make sure they're legitimate members and filter out the leeches by hand (because even though a lot of people might not recognize them, they could just be people who frequent boards most of us don't, like The Concert Hall).

We had lots of new faces last week, though it would be nice to get some attention to this thread as well. I think Garr was planning to at least listen, and hopefully Paco will be sober enough to call. You need to get Skills on to phone in an airstrike.

While I can't ever say I was there from the beginning, I think this was a great show to join in on. I mean, I missed some of it looking for my cell phone, but the 40 or so minutes I heard was pure awesome.

Having Frank and Plarom call in was absolutely hilarious. I hope they call in again, and I hope more people show up for this thing next week.
