Fazoli's.

Anyone else amazed at the fact that there IS such a thing as good Italian fast-food? I just recently got introduced to them a few months back, and I can't believe how delicious everything is! I didn't even know such a thing existed. Have I just been sheltered, or is this the first successful Italian fast-food chain?

Are there any other successful (or unsuccessful) fast-food Italian restaurants that you know of and/or love?

And thanks for stopping by.

Aw, damn you. You had to remind me that we used to have that restaurant in town. I would go there practically every day on my lunch break to eat massive portions for a cheap price. Sadly they closed shop a few months ago. =(

Fazoli's is awesome. Sadly there are none around here; I tried it last year at Virginia Beach.

Every other fast-food italian place I can think of is overpriced. Places like Sbarro and Three Brothers charge the same price as a fancy sit-down restaurant, but serve your food on paper plates. Where's the value?

Fazoli's is the BOMB. I like it BETTER than Olive Garden, better than any Italian place I've ever been to for that matter, even fancy ones like Scaldoni's. Everything at Fazoli's is just awesome.

Never heard of or seen any other successful Italian fast-food places. <3 Fazoli's.

Really? Fazoli's? Every Fazoli's I've been to has been amazingly bland. The noodles are overcooked, the sauce lacks flavor, and the food is usually under-heated.

Maybe it's just in Colorado, but shit, if I'm going to eat Italian, I'm going to sit down and eat it anyway just because it's a heavy meal.

There is no Fazoli's in any reasonable distance from Ventura, CA or Fairfax, VA. I guess I'm missing out.

Seriously! We had a Sbarro in the mall by my old hometown. Yeah, it was good, but it was quite expensive, even just for one piece of pizza. =/

The last two times I've eaten at Sbarro's I've gotten food poisoning.

That's either because you are weak or Sbarro's sucks.

OR BOTH~

It was pretty rad the second time, actually. I rode my bike a mile in to work, then was walking over this bridge between buildings that's about four stories off the ground when I felt the OH SHIT happen. I rushed to the side and heaved onto the sidewalk way down below (the splat actually happened after the first gush of vomit, so I heard it, too ).

That's a freaking awesome story, RR.

On topic: Is Fazoli's expensive? I mean, how is it compared to other fast food joints such as Burger King, McDonalds, etc.

Or would it be more on par with diner prices?

Alright, so there WAS a Fazoili's in the city I live in. Unfortunately when I got there, it'd been shut down.

Prices are roughly the same. They even have a dollar menu, like other fast food joints, and I find myself occasionally filling up on 3 of their "Jr. Spaghetti's" for $3 + tax. Also breadsticks. If you're sitting down, you get unlimited free breadsticks with your meal. And their breadsticks are my favoritest ever. Or, if you're on the go, you can get a pack of 3 from their dollar menu.

Their submarino sandwiches are my favorite though. Massive, packed with stuff, pretty inexpensive.

I've never heard of Italian fast food, do you know if this company is national or what? I mean... I suppose you could call some more authentic pizza places Italian fast food... but real Italian fast food? I'm interested.

Fazoli's is awesome. Some of the best fast food out there and not too expensive either. I am forever pissed that they do not have them in Texas!
