Breakfast: Savory or Sweet?

I'm not a big breakfast person, but when I do have breakfast, I tend to like the savory side of the plate:
- Bacon fried rice & eggs
- omlette and home potato fries
- or my standard favorite, 2 eggs over-medium, hashbrown and toast

I do like the sweet stuff like waffles and pancakes on occasion, but since they are on the sweet side, I have a tendancy to think that I'd enjoy those more as dessert or for an afternoon snack.

So which way do you swing, sweet or savory?

I like both. Nothing beats crepes with nutella and some sort of fruit and a side order of fried potatoes.

I guess it depends on whatever I feel like making at the time

Waffles or pancakes - yogurt if I am in a hurry

I won't say no to sausages or an omelet though

Theoretically I don't eat breakfast. I do, however, drink a glass of milk in the morning with chocolate powder in, which I suppose counts as sweet. My stomach rebels at the thought of solids at breakfast. When I stay over at people's houses and they insist I eat something though, I find nothing compares to lightly buttered toast.
I detest sleep. I've got better things to do. Besides, I find it frightening - to awaken and be unsure of everything you remember about life not being just part of a dream. Waking means I've slept, and sleep dissolves what certainty I have left.

I generally eat sweet stuff for breakfast. In my current drive to eat healthy i each fruit salad every day, except for once in a while when i treat myself to sugary cereal.

When I do eat breakfast, I tend to go towards the eggs and toast kind of thing, although an orange or some orange juice never hurts. Most days though, it'll be a banana and a cup of coffee.

Savory. Eating too much sugar in the morning just makes me feel ill. Usually I like to eat something lighter, probably leftovers from lunch or dinner the previous day.

Sweetness! It's like my sustenance. =/

Usually Frosties (Frosted Flakes), Fruit Loops...and occasionally I treat myself to pancakes. Gosh I feel so naughty when I do that.

These days, mostly savory only. I have about 5-6 hours after eating breakfast before I can have something to eat around lunchtime, and sweet breakfast foods don't give me enough energy to make it to lunch. On the weekends, I don't eat breakfast at all since I wake up much later, so my late-morning meal is usually still savory.

I always go sweet on weekdays. I buy like 3-4 açaí drinks a week and have one of those before I run to class. It gets me through the day just fine. When I actually have breakfast, which is weekends, I like to mix it up a bit.

Steak and eggs are awesome. Maybe I only think that because my college's cafeteria is vegetarian and I never get to eat meat, but still.... mmmm. As it is my breakfast generally consists of oatmeal with raisins and brown sugar, a whole-wheat bagel with cream cheese, and a cup of tea.

Neither, really. I occasionally have cereal, yogurt, string cheese, or some bread--maybe a croissant. Usually, though, I just heat up some frozen foods/TV dinners or a can of soup. I've been having those Lipton Spanish Rice sides lately, though. Good stuff.

Anything too sweet upsets my stomach for the rest of the day, and I can't get myself to go savory or oily with sausages and eggs in the morning.

That stuff is sooo good. I definitely prefer it over pomegranate juice, but it's so pricey.

I'd have to say that there's no reason it cannot be both. I made myself a hickory smoked ham steak, creamy scrambled eggs with chives, and a short stack of buttermilk pancakes topped with butter and maple syrup.

I used to really not be able to handle the sweet stuff in the morning, especially pancakes. And I hate waffles. I find that either something savory (eggs, chorizo, biscuits) or easy and sweet (yogurt and banana) is okay either way, these days.

I'm partial to the occasional swedish pancake breakfast or cheese blintzes, though.

Don't really eat breakfast, but then I'm not usually up when most people eat breakfast or I'm just about to go to sleep. I'll wake up in the afternoon and be like "I'm gonna go get a Steak and Cheese sub!" or something random like that.

I do however still enjoy breakfast food. I like scrambled eggs and various kinds of pancakes and waffles. I just don't eat them for breakfast. Sometimes I'll eat them for lunch, dinner, or 2nd dinner(When a friend wants to get food and I already ate). Makes me glad alot of restaurants serve breakfast all day around here.

Someone's been eating at Chez Cora's a lot. Best breakfast place in the ghetto, isn't it, Muck? Whenever I'm in Montreal, I'm there like every morning. Just can't get enough of their fruit smoothies and crepes. Bloody fantastic.

Obviously I tend towards the sweet. I'm not a big breakfast eater, so I definitely prefer lighter thinks. My breakfast of choice is usually yogourt, granola/cereal with fruit and creme fraiche. Though crepes never go amiss.

I don't mind both, although on weekdays it'll be sweet cause I don't have the time to whip up eggs and sausages. It's usually toast with peanut butter and jelly on weekdays with a glass of milk. On weekends it depends on what I feel like eating, but I'll usually go savoury cause I don't have the chance on weekdays.
