Sparkling Jell-O
I heard from someone that they're going to discontinue Sparkling Jell-O. For those of you that don't know, it's specifically for mixing with carbonated water so you get bubbly Jell-O.
I'm confused, though, as to how the Sparkling kind might be different from the regular kind. Can't you just pour carbonated water into regular Jell-O, or is the gelatin in the Sparkling kind more "firm" and holds the bubbles better? |

"Sparkling Jell-O"? Never heard of it. They always had the recipe for adding soda on the back of the regular Jell-O packages, but I've never tried it.
Speaking of which, has anyone seen that MADtv skit with Bill Cosby and the "Jello Shots"? Classic. |

I thought they discontinued this a lo~ong time ago. They did in my area, at least; the stuff was all over Big Lots and the discount grocery stores.
My friend and I actually tried to make it over Christmas, and discovered that yeah...it doesn't work. I've never met one person for whom it did work. No big loss to the grocery store that I can see. |

I used to have Sparkling Jell-o, but that was a while ago. In fact, I haven't had any sort of Jell-o in a loooonnnggg time. This thread makes me want to eat Jell-o...
