Welcome to the Gamingforce Interactive Forums.
GFF is a hellhole full of elitists who chat about everything EXCEPT games. We have a team of dedicated moderators who will ban your ass on the slightest provocation, constant member-organized activities that you are not allowed to participate in, and plenty of custom features, including our unique journal system where you can post entries that will be completely ignored. If this is your first visit, be sure to check out the FAQ or our GFWiki. You will have to register before you can post. Although membership is completely free (and gets rid of the pesky advertisement unit underneath this message) we do not recommend that you sign up, because you will get kicked in the nuts repeatedly.

Post Your Desktop v.2

Old thread got rather large so it got shipped to the underworld. Anyway, most of you already know the drill so you may go about your business.

Those of you who are new to this here's some pointers:

0. This should go without saying, but please be courteous and don't start getting uppity and take moral offense to other people's desktops or color schemes. (This means YOU too, Merv.)

1. Please don't attach your wallpapers to your post. Instead, upload them to your own personal webspace or ask a friend to do it and link it here. Imageshack, Photobucket, Imagesocket and ImageRedirect are perfectly good alternatives so use them. This way we don't take up too much space with attachments. If we see any posts containing attachments they're gonna get dropped like a fumble.

2. Please don't stretch the tables of the postbit. All the sites above have some kind of automatic thumbnail function readily available when you upload your images so please make wise use of those features. Posts that stretch the tables will be deleted.

3. Do not make a post updating a new desktop picture every hour. Using this thread to boost your postcount will not be tolerated.

4. ?????

5. Profit

I have a High Resolution picture of a Burning Match.

Ok I can explain the multiple and un-needed things on my desktop. I can only connect to my Schools FTP with Filezilla (but I perfer SmartFTP) and I used the Web editor in Mozilla in order to make a basic page last semester.

I sure did a while back... I'm running a 17" 2.1 GHz iMac G5 with iSight. Looking to replace it with a Mac Pro this summer (hopefully an 8-core Mac Pro if the rumors are correct )

I wish someone would port a .guikit of area.04 over to Mac. It was always my favorite visual style on the PC and every desktop went really well with it. The closest to it that we have on the Mac is pxlprt but it doesn't look as good as area.04 because the creator try to "Aquafy" it. It's a great .guikit, no doubt; but it's no area.04. :/
