Thanks to Rimo's latest rip, Eric Serra has been removed from the list along with the link to New York Race.
I see that Ramin Djawadi, best known for his collaborations with Hans Zimmer, is listed in the "sound department" for Thief II. Can anyone confirm if he did, or did not, write any music for the game? Added a bunch of Zimmerites to the list. Trevor Morris, with credits for "Need for Speed: Carbon" and a co-composer credit on "Command and Conquer 3;" Lorne Balfe as co-composer on "Battlefield 2: Modern Combat." Also Alf Clausen, who is not a Zimmerite but was replaced by them, for "The Simpsons: Cartoon Studio." ![]() 2008 NaNoWriMo Word Count: 29069/50000

John Debney (Sin City, The Passion of the Christ) will score Lair from the studio Factor 5 (Turrican). I find it a bit strage that Debney scores it and not Factor 5s common composer Chris Hülsbeck. Also, Geoff Zanelli (Secret Window, Into the West) wrote additional music for Champions of Norrath. EDIT: Well, another one: Paul Haslinger (Underworld) - Far Cry Instincts/Far Cry Predator, Rainbow Six Vegas. You can listen to those 3 scores on http://www.haslinger.com/

Jan Hammer did music for Police Quest 3.
Also Brian May did music for the "Rise of the Robots" games but i guess he is not primarily an TV/film composer even if Queen did music for the Highlander and Flash Gordon films. |

Fantastic new finds, especially Debney. I really hope he pulls off something spectacular!
Added Debney, Hammer, Haslinger, Hammer, May, and Zanelli to the list. Stefan_L, as far as Brian May is concerned, there are actually two artists by that name, the famous rocker and a respected Australian film/TV composer. Are you sure that the "Rise of the Robots" score was by the rocker? ![]() 2008 NaNoWriMo Word Count: 29069/50000 |

According to MobyGames he wasn't heavily involved.

Interesting aside: according to Wikipedia, Brian May did in fact compose a score, but it was left out at the last minute due to legal wrangling in order to make the title's launch date.
Stone Cold Chris Stone's been added to the list. ![]() 2008 NaNoWriMo Word Count: 29069/50000 |

Hmm, maybe you could re-add it as a rejected score then? Just a thought.

Brian May did more music for the sequel "Rise 2: Resurrection"... can be read at the wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rise_of_the_Robots

Added Barrington Pheloung to the list, whith scores for "In Cold Blood," "Broken Sword, and "Broken Sword II."
After careful research, I've come to the conclusion that Brian May is probably more of a mainstream musician/performer than a film/tv composer. Though if anyone has a link to a rip of his rejected RotR score, or RotR2 score, I think it would be cool to hear. I've also managed to do a mostly-complete rip of Ottman's IHNMAIMS, if anyone wants it. ![]() 2008 NaNoWriMo Word Count: 29069/50000 |

Sorry if I missed it, but what about Michael Giacchino?

That's the same reason that Inon Zur and Yoko Kanno aren't on the list. ![]() 2008 NaNoWriMo Word Count: 29069/50000 |

An update, I know some more:
Alongside Jan Hammer, Sierra had Craig Safan work on Leisure Suit Larry 5 (his most famous movie score was "The Last Starfighter"). Also, Hollywood composer Chuck Barth composed the Dynamix game "RAMA". Oh yeah, William Goldstein did the music for "King's Quest IV". Finally, noone's sure, but Michel Legrand was rumoured to have worked on "Torin's Passage", too. I'm gonna ring a composer I know who worked on it, the excellent David Henry, in a few hours and ask him. Regards, - Spike |
