Final Fantasy Main Theme from FF XII in here

http://youtube.com/watch?v=BkWQZhckfK4

Note that you may be spoiled for some scenes shown in the video (as in, summons and etc that have not been officially announced).

Sakimoto's rendition of the FF Main Theme is at that link. It's a video.

I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT!!!!!!

You don't have to watch the video. It's the one that plays right before the title screen, so it's not the one where you hit New Game. At least go and hear the Main Theme done Sakimoto style. I LOVE IT. Especially how the title screen shows up with the song!

If you're scared bout being spoiled, have the video load and just listen to the song go when your browser is on the taskbar.

EDIT: An mp3 of the song can be found on the 4th post.

...

Beautiful. The Final Fantasy main theme almost brings a tear to my eye.

To be fair, the compression is a little heavy. It probably sounds a lot better in-game.

Awesome.
Though it was usually used at the ending of the previous games that had it, I think playing it in the intro/on the first menu has a great effect too.

Typical Sakimoto. At least it's awesome.
It's Sakimoto's rendition of the "FINAL FANTASY MAIN THEME" which has been used in practically every Final Fantasy game (and composed by Uematsu). This is NOT the "theme of FINAL FANTASY XII", which is titled "Hope" (correct me if I'm wrong), and is composed by Sakimoto.

I'm just ecstatic that it's even IN the game. I don't think X even had it in the soundtrack.

Yeah...sorry for the confusion. I realized that after I posted the thread how the title is misleading. feel free to edit the title.

Actually, That was fault on my part for misinterpreting the thread title. I haven't been paying much attention to FFXII anything at all, so I had no idea.

I love this rendition of the FFIV Prologue by Sakimoto. This is right on par with my favorite version from the ending theme of FFVIII Disc 4- Track 11 at about 7'01''.

The rendition seems good. It didn't seem too different from the original, so I appreciated that.

Spatula: That was also the version of the Final Fantasy theme I was going to bring up. It's a favorite of mine as well.

Rydia, I love the Liberi Fatali undertones right after the prologue motif, very accented military type rhythm to juxtapose with the warm flow of the strings section.

I agree it's a bit heavy. I have the feeling it doesn't fit the title screen.

Yeah, I hear that in FF12 you can junction materias to your sphere grid and use summons. Sounds like a game I can afford to at least try out now.

Expect PSF2s to be released within the next couple of days. I'm betting there are going to be at least 100 tracks (of course, what else would fill 4 CDs? hehe.)
