Running Core Media Player

Okay, I downloaded a full series. I can cycle over to Japanese tracks but the subtitle tracks have nothing in them. I've peered through the options, and the subs are tabbed as shown and not hidden. Is there a chance that subs aren't even loaded into these? They have English & Japanese audio tracks both, sooo... What's the deal?

Cheers.
Hey, maybe you should try that thing Chie was talking about.

The subs might not be loaded, but I think there's a greater chance that either the player doesn't support the subtitle format or something like that. (Granted, I know nothing about Core Media Player.)
Have you tried the files in another player?

Ciao.

I don't know of anything else that plays MKV files o.o;

Double Post:
Also, I have an SFV file. Is that a subtitle file extension? o__O Last time I had to attack subs was Advent Children. And that wasn't fun

Cheers.

Everything playes MKV files, granted that you have an MKV splitter installed. (Haali's Media Splitter is my favorite, and it comes with DefilerPak.)

Ciao.

Well. Is SFV something like a subtitle file? >_>; Or what? I'm rather inexperienced on this stuff.

Actually, no ;_;
I had it confused with a similar type. SFV files are used for file verification with programs like QuickSFV. (I was thinking of SRT files.)

Ciao.

You could always get the CCCP from http://cccp-project.net/download.php
it plays any type of anime media file all in one neat packagem it also loads subs automatically and comes with IMO the best media player, MPC.

Cheers.

Yeah, it's probably not loading the subs right. If you don't want to install a codec pack, you can try VLC Player, and see if it'll load the english subs.
