You may need to simply produce a custom cursor to circumvent the issue.

Ain't actionscript great?

Okay, so you have the 'arrow' cursor, and when you roll over a movie clip with functions (or buttons), then you get the index finger point cursor?
Is that the issue.
Normally you don't want to get rid of that functionality because it's nice feedback to know what pieces are actually buttons most of the time.
Still, Flash is nearly fully customizeable. The other thing I'd suggest is looking at Actionscript libraries (there's tons of books) to see if there is a solution.
For the most part hunting the net is fairly useless, in my experience.
Hope that helps. I've exhausted my resources.
I'm currently revamping my portfolio, so I'll have it up for comments soon.

thanks for the suggestion. The reason why I ask for this is cuz the animation doesnt have a link, it's just a nice little animation whenver the user scrolls the mouse of image...

I've seen it done on many other websites, where if you scroll your mouse of like a logo or picture it animates, but the cursor doesnt change..

I've been searching to and havn't found anything..
